Really hope Piper isn’t cancelled and only delayed. It’s a bit worrying to see Steve’s response on the Q&A thread. I’m still not clear, what was his response? It shows as “Image Not Found” for me. |

Sounds like it's still coming this year. Shipping date hasn't changed. Just pre-order date slipped. Great news. It'll be a nice Xmas present!

I’m guessing it got delayed to create space/buzz for the LWO preorder to go through its process first, which they’re banking on to be a bigger deal.

Since this line is heavily inspired by ljn, the Hart Foundation they announced in a ljn themed 2 pack box set would be great.

Didn't know if Tito Santana was still signed, but based in the Turnbuckle Tavern interview, he is not signed with them so he is off the list.

This could be great line is already turning into joke! Mattel should just give up the Wwe license to someone that will do it justice. I’m not sure it’s a “joke,” I just think it could be SO much more. I truly LOVE these figures as the perfect homage of modern figures with throwback era packaging, perfect for MOC collectors. I just wish they would get behind them more and produce them more often, with quarterly offerings, or even monthly! I get that these aren’t for everyone, but I’d think that those who are in are likely “all in.” |

In a perfect world, it would be amazing if this line could include One Man Gang, Hercules, Jesse Ventura, Demolition, etc. That said, I would gladly take the “repaint city” with the added articulation in the fantastic homage packaging, even for recent releases like Studd, Beefcake, Valentine, DiBiase, Honky Tonk Man, and Andre. This is a dream collection to me. I wish it could go deeper, sure, but I’ll take what I can get. For those who are long time collectors and who open all of their figures, I 100% get your complaints. Not enough meat on the bone for ya’ll. But between these and Big Rubber Guys, my 80’s WWF nostalgia needs are getting met pretty well lately… at least in the preorder/ announcement department. Patience! |
