Got my Piper/Steele set delivered today and just took it out of the shipping box. I noticed something odd, though. There's a piece of tape across the tab on the display box (the tab that inserts into the side to hold the box shut). I've ordered Coliseum Collection sets four other times and never had one with the tab taped down. Did anyone else receive one like this? Wondering if that's just how they're packaging them now, or if some funny business went on with my order. Just got mine, it’s the same way as yours. OK, yeah they must just be shipping them this way now, for some reason. I removed the tape pretty easily and the box, figures, accessories and packaging are all intact and mint, so I'm happy. No harm done. And this set is amazing. All three of Roddy's head sculpts are perfect for this era of Piper. And the George Steele looks so much better in person than in the photos. They nailed it. The turnbuckle accessory with removable stuffing is a fantastic touch. |

Just got my Piper and Steele in the mail. Piper is the figure of year for me 100 percent. Perfect ultimate figure. Exactly what I wanted.

I am loving this figure. It's a pretty great figure. Just got mine the other day, both Piper and George turned out great. The only thing that could have made the Piper figure better would have been the inclusion of the Panther t-shirt. |

But I have one from Ralph’s since the EG Piper was released. It’s been on my Legends 2-Pack Piper figure since I received it. |

Wow! I love them both, but the Piper is definitely my MOC figure of the year. Big Rubber Guys Demolition are still my loose figs of the year. It’s been a great past month or so for LJN homage figs! Keep em coming!

I have zero inside knowledge, but based on figures coming from other companies, I would think that JYD, Duggan and Warlord can be moved to “Unsigned” at this point (sadly).
… I mean, I do want Big Rubber Guys of all of them, but I’d also want them in this line. So, yeah, I want my cake and to eat it too! lol

I just wanted to say, I FINALLY got a chance to open the Piper/Steele set and it’s ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! See…THIS is why I love these figures, you will have a dud set like the Amazon Ladder match, and then something amazing like this set. Just wonderful.

I figured this series was the best shot for it. Hopefully it is still possible. I agree that would have been a great addition to this line. But in my opinion, though a different form factor, his upcoming Big Rubber Guy looks incredible! And the PowerTown Remco is in the look you mentioned. Wouldn’t surprise me if they also do him in their Ultimate style line. Wrestling figure collecting has become like tv- can’t just subscribe to one system anymore, gotta get from multiple sources to get the variety we want. |
