Just curious to know which Big Poppa Pump attire that everyone wants. It would seem likely that he would get another Ultimate Edition figure as well as a few elite figures. So, which one(s) do you want most? All I want is the white singlet look with airbrush design on the back and front. It's the most iconic Scotty look to me and brings me back to the late 90's playing WCW/nWo Revenge. That's why I'm hoping that Mattel adds more details to the crowdfund Scotty, as I doubt that he'll be rereleased in the white singlet look again as an UE. I'd take the white biker trunks look and maybe black trunks with caricature too.

Honestly, since I collect 96-97 for my WCW shelf, I'd be happy with all red or white or black Steiner Brothers, as boring as the figures would look compared to other looks he/they had. Basically, what they wore at Fall Brawl 97 or Bash at the Beach 97.

From what I've found, the first PPV he wore it at was Fall Brawl 2000 against Goldberg, but he was wearing it on Nitro's prior to the PPV.   |

For regular release- black shorts with chainmail headgear. And black long tights with chainmail headgear.

I think this poll demonstrates one of the reasons the crowdfund isn't doing very well.
Steiner's been a WCW guy for a long time and is one of the names most associated with WCW. Yet, his WWE look is the one people want. WCW just doesn't have the fan base, I don't think. (i'm guilty, too, i never really watched it, and also prefer Steiner to come in his 2002 ring gear).

His WCW Champion attire. Face it. That is the height of his success as a singles competitor. Sure he came to the WWF, but he was jobbed out after two months of matches with Triple H. And yeah, he had success in TNA...but could you REALLY equate that to what he had in Late WCW?

I don't know if I agree that WCW isn't popular, though it has been closed down for over 20 years and its more than 25 years from the height of its popularity. Also, it probably doesn't help that WWE has put out a number of DVDs and biographies putting down WCW. Even with that, I still think the main reason for the crowdfunding not doing well is the price being more than most people would want to spend, especially those overseas. However, even with that being said, I am really surprised to see the way the poll is going. I figured the shorts looks would be the most popular as he wore those for a longer run than the white singlets and long tights in WWE. But now that I think of it, some of the shorts were mainly worn during WCW's last 2 years, which weren't near as popular as their early years nor as popular as the WWE was in 2003 when he wore the longer tights. For me, when I think of Big Poppa Pump, I think of WCW in 1998. During that run, he wore the airbrushed white singlet for a bit then switch over to the white shorts. I voted for those two and the black shorts with white as that is what I mostly associate with Steiner as Big Poppa Pump. But, I do hope that the Steiner's remain on contract long enough for Mattel to get out as many looks as they can, this way all fans can be satisfied. |
