I haven’t saw an ultimate at the 4 closest Wal Marts to me since July. That’s how bad it is right now. It’s usually 18 AJ Styles, and AEW figures.
I’ve been trying to get an Angle but would like to see if in person first before buying, but it doesn’t exist here. It’s insane how bad it is here

Mattel: Hey Walmart we got these sets of exclusives that we'd like to produce, what do you think? Walmart: We like these, (MNW) and feel they might be a good fit for us. Mattel: Awesome, for this particular set, we are looking at these potential lineups throughout the entire series runs plus more if successful. Walmart: Looks good, we'll take them. Mattel: That's great to hear, we will get the contracts up and running to sign the deal. Walmart: Alrighty everything seems good. Mattel: There's just 1 caveat though. Walmart: And what's that? Mattel: While you will have exclusive rights to these series, we would like to carry them on our official website mattel creations, that has absolutely zero competition with Walmart. After all why would we compete with ourselves lol Walmart: lol Mattel: The discount would apply to you guys and you can sale at the MSRP of 22.99 (elites) and 32.99 (ultimates) you will get that exclusive price, while we will carry the same figures but will charge 27.99 (elites) and 37.99 (ultimates) this way for every sale on our website, you will also get a percentage of sales to accommodate. Walmart: hmmm we like free money! What can go wrong!? Let's do it! Mattel: That's great to hear, pleasure doing business, as always. Win win for everybody. Might work but at that price point resellers will increase their prices as well. This hobby is getting expensive for new figures... i think anything over 35$ is hard to swallow for collectors.

All the Walmarts are like that lol. Just wait. The one and done shipper that you probably won't even see with, like, 1 or 2 of each figure the scalpers can quickly nab and flip online is coming to like 50-60% of some Walmarts in some states to "take care of the demand." You probably won't even see the shipper box itself because someone will take it home too! Ain't it cool? I'm super-hyped.

At least we are guaranteed to get what we want and for just a a few dollars more. In the end walmart might still claim mattel was competing with them online as the perk for walmart is having control of the online marketplace as well. Hoping for the best.

Anyone seeing new product in their Walmart locations? We're less than two weeks away from Christmas, and I haven't seen anything new appear in 3-4 weeks.....
I would think if ever there was a time they'd be putting out new toys, that time would be now..... but I am not surprised. I noticed the last two years they barely stocked any new WWE stuff during the Holidays.
Just my area? Or are we back in a December freeze? They loaded up their toy aisles in November and when they're gone, they're gone.
None of my Walmarts have any Elites, except maybe a few Top Picks Roman Reigns here and there..... where are all the mainline Elites? Now'd be the time to load up those shelves..... Seems like the recent Superstar sets came & went within a week, too.
All I see is old Basics, Battlepacks, and the occasional random Ultimate (usually only 1 or 2).

Only new figs I have seen in the past month have been punk supreme, and most of the elite 105. Mostly gargano and iyo. Also a pac and hook but those have been out for a while now.

There have been a few restocks in the past few days at my Walmart. One day they got a case of basic 139 and the next a case of elite 104. Recently they out a few cases of ultimate rvd/brocks. They have also restocked the aew Jericho and Kingston exclusives.

this could all be avoided if they had a capable ordering system setup online. no complaints, no worries, no wasted gas, time, effort, and waiting in pay aisles. this is 2024 in a month...this shouldve been ironed out years ago.
but here we all are, rehashing old problems and its even worse than ever. 1 case per store , sold out within days if you dont hurry up and get there 3 times a week.. is something im not diving into again. i imagine the sales figures have diminished and some one somewhere is losing money. (mostly the retailer) which in turn hurts the consumer because product isnt reaching shelves or online..like we have seen.
its all been discussed and b*tched about before. and now i dont even search online at Walmart anymore for figures. Target is hit or miss and when they do put up main elites they are gone within minutes..

You know one thing that is missing from holiday Ads is large toy displays for black friday and the day before christmas. Walmart, especially, used to advertise a specific day for the release of the toys for episode 1 star wars for example. That day you would walk in to myabe 30 cases worzh of figures on shelves to dig through. Since then it has never been the same. They used to advertise hot wheels sundays at some walmarts in california as i remember. When you reach the toy aisle they had 20 cases with their treSure hunts on pegs. Toy companies worked with walmart and toysrus especially to ensure product was available for those toy events. Their reps even visited the event to see the chaos. I dont understand why we dont see more of that today especially with facebook and twitter, etc etc etc they could advertise just about anything and het good turnout as l9ng as the product was availale. . In the end we are back to the same song and dance in regards to distribution problems and small quantities ordered/shipped. I hope mattel think out of the box and tries to do something with walmart for a future event like wrestlemania. They have little to lose merely by trying

One shipper in every 4th or 6th Walmart to rule them all, one shipper: good luck trying to find them, one shipper to buy them all, and on the Ebay flip them; In the Land of Mattel where the shadows lie...
