These contract talk "rumors" should always be taken with a grain of salt. I personally don't see him leaving.
That being said i'm sure a lot of guys that are currently suffering from "Roman Holding Both Titles Hostage" Syndrome and can't be ecstatic about the lack of main stage opportunity other than to main event and lose constantly. And Drew has got to be up there as one of those guys.

It honestly does suck for Drew. COVID era messed his championship run up by having no audience to perform for. CATC was a good time to redeem that but it is what it is.
if he leaves/stays I won't be surprised either way.

I can see why he'd be annoyed if thats the case. Aside from Clash At The Castle and Wrestlemania 39, he hasn't exactly done much since the pandemic era. Maybe this new title will be enough to sway him back.

What we need to have happen is Sheamus leave the WWE too, and come down from the crowd during an AEW match, get into the ring and say, "you know who I am, and you know where I'm from, but you don't know why I am here.... fella!"
Then the following week, Sheamus Farrelly is at the announce table with Schiavone and Taz and then Drew Galloway debuts tapping Tony on the shoulder. He says, "Look at the Agdetive" and then walk off.
Then at the next PPV they come out and say how they have a third man to wrestle the Elite at the PPV in the UK. Then Drew claymore kicks Excalibur.
Then at the PPV, when the referee is out, CM Punk returns and walks to the ring. But Taz says, "Is Punk the third man?! But I digress." Punk goes into the ring and drops a crappy looking top rope elbow drop onto Omega, and then gives the thumbs up to this man Farrelly and this man Galloway.
Then they start the W..O...N... World Order Now...
And it will be the best wrestling angle.... ever!! EVER!!!

I bet he re-signs. This is either overblown or a play for more money. I don’t blame him for not just taking what they give him. Even if they don’t find him to be valuable enough they may rather pay him than see him go to the competition. One good thing about AEW is that it’s good for the wrestlers to be able to negotiate again instead of the old ‘take it or leave it’ of the past decade or more.

He was wasted on Smackdown and they didn't seem to know what to do with him. Drew should do much better on Raw. I agree but at the same time they had no world title to give him and no mid card title as they seem to want to break certain records with Roman and Gunthers reigns respectively. So he's a main event talent lost in the twilight zone between main event and mid card. Definitely should be in the world title picture on RAW. |

I dunno if he'll achieve anything past what he already has here, but he's also not shooting to the top in aew either, so whatever choice he makes he's got some work cut out for him to get to another peak.

If he stays(guessing he will now),I say he'll at least win the new title once in the next 12-18 months and pretty much stay in the main event scene but imo he's just not at the level as guys like Roman,Seth and Cody and that's not a bad thing

I think Drew post WM 37 his booking has been damaging. He keeps floating into the title scene and floating out just to lose none-stop.
Chases Bobby for the title; lost the program. Which is fine, for solid Bobby reign
The stupid Big E program; to more mid card programming. To failing against Roman to this past Mania. He’s became upper mid card guy that can challenge for big titles.
Mainly I just think if we voided out big E stuff; but kept consistent upper card programs over past 2 years with him it would of been fine.
I think he did amazing job in the pandemic era; with he had and what was given.
Also the smarks fans as usual turned on him and now cry out for his treatment.
The Roman title run I think definitely is good reason to blame. I think Drew could of regain WWE title; by now it Roman just was UV.

I don’t see him going anywhere. He’s 37 years old - in arguably the prime of his career. Personally, I just see him finishing his career out in WWE. Turn this man heel, give him complete freedom on the mic with some good creative and he would be a monster.
