He should absolutely be a monster heel. He’s a decent enough babyface, but the Scottish Psycho was way cooler. He’d make a better unstoppable heel champion than joking around, countdown to Claymore babyface champion.

I can’t see him doing much in AEW outside being a solid mid carder. Better chance winning a world championship again if he stays. Either way, at least he redeemed himself with this run.

If he leaves surely Uncle Tony will throw a big bag of money his way to join AEW.Personaly if I was him I would pass unless I was grunted a top spot,world title run and that I would be used on TV and top end storylines weekly.Way to many talents in AEW that get signed and fade away in a matter of weekly or months or used poorly.
He should actually think about IMPACT again where he first made his name as a main event talent and would be clear cut and far and away the #1 guy of the company and face.He might be able to help them land a better TV deal or stream deal as well.Bring in Aldis & Trinity helps the product abd bigger stars they've signed in a long time,with a good shot Sasha Banks might appear at somepoint.You add McIntyre to that mix and really could give them some major momentum that they haven't had in years.

Why would anyone wanna go to AEW right now? The champion is currently in a feud with 3 AEW originals and everyone else is in these thrown together matches on Dynamite/Rampage each week. There’s no room for anyone else with a namesake.

I personally think (and hope) he resigns, and is given a bit of a push with purpose again. As said, he's been floating the past couple of years so I think turning him heel again would give him a fresh feel with a new outlook and it can be great. Hats off to him for carrying the ship through the pandemic, and I'm gutted he never got the title win with a crowd but he did amazing with what the situation in the world was at the time and we can't forget that.
Give him time and I think he'll do very well for the company again. He deserves to be a top guy again as he's shown he can carry and have great matches!

I get he’s probably unhappy in WWE, but unfortunately it’s not going to be much better anywhere else.
He could go to Impact and probably be World Champ but he’ll be making less money and nobody will be watching.
He could go to AEW and make the same or more money, but he’s never going to be World Champion because “The Elite” will be jealous of him and sabotage him because they are threatened by people who are actually over.
NJPW? I don’t know what they pay, but the American audience for NJPW is probably lower than it is for Impact.
I don’t see him slumming the Indies.
He should probably stay in WWE or call their bluff and leave but take a break from wrestling for 6 months and hope WWE suffers a few injuries and comes crawling back to him?
He’s in a tough spot if he doesn’t want to be a WWE mid carder.
