I was sat scrolling through YouTube earlier, and was thinking to myself what wrestlers have wrestled each other that I didn’t know about. Couldn’t find a video on it, so I’m curious!
What wrestlers didn’t you know had wrestled each other till recently?

Well they wrestled each other 10000 times, but I never knew that Undertaker & Kane had wrestled each other before WWE in Smoky Mountain Wrestling when Undertaker did a main event against Unabomb, until the Brothers of Destruction documentary on the Network. I just found that really interesting as I didn't know WWE sent some of their stars to Smokey Mountain for events, and with those two being my favourites I just got a kick out of knowing that as I really don't know a lot of their stuff pre-WWF/E.

See I’ve been watching wrestling years, but till the other day, I’d never known that Punk had wrestled Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio in the same match. Was well and truly baffled.

Bret Hart vs Rocky Maivia shocked me when I first saw it. Also Paul London Vs John Cena velocity 2002.

Rey Mysterio also wrestled Ace Steel during this time the guy who trained CM Punk and got in trouble at Media Scrum.

Here’s a few good ones that people may not know happened: - Edge vs Mr Perfect - Macho Man vs Shawn Michaels - Sting vs The Undertaker - Sting vs Kane - William Regal vs Samoa Joe - The Hardy Boys vs Road Warriors - Kurt Angle vs Shinsuke Nakamura - Brock Lesnar vs BatistaAll of these sound must see for me although I have to imagine with the differences in era's that The Hardys and Batista were green as grass in their encounters with an established Brock and Road Warriors respectively. Angle vs Nakamura could be an instant classic depending on the time it took place same with Regal/Joe. I gotta go look these up now. EDIT 1 Hardy Boyz VS LOD 2000 was short as expected but had a finish I did not see coming going into it. Definitely thought it was going to be a squash match against the Hardy's but the dissension in the LOD got them a dub over arguably the most over tag team of all time. Too bad it was Droz/Animal and not Animal/Hawk. Coming from that LOD/Hardys match I was able to watch another short match the LOD 2000/Hardys had on Shotgun Saturday Night 2 nights prior to the other match where Droz and Hawk won together against them. Don't remember this story as I was a fan of WWF at the time but I never watched Heat, Velocity or any of the other many minor or early morning shows they've had. EDIT 2 Joe/Regal is truly a good match. No vignettes, promos, fancy entrances or anything of the sort. Just a story being told in the ring by two technical but brutal competitors. Loved the kip up by Regal and the bridge pin spot. Joe was an absolute unit even as a young man. He's so baby faced in this match he looks like a taller heavier AJ Styles. Not a huge fan of the face/arm lock spot they did for a minute or two as I felt it slowed the pace down but they brought it right back. Joe selling the European Uppercut was crisp. There were a few drops in momentum throughout the bout but still damn good for what it was. First UPW match I've ever seen too. Wonder why we never got a proper Regal sendoff in NXT via a match with Joe. They yelled at each other enough times and got in each others faces on countless occasions. What a missed beat. Coulda been something to see Joe as the one in his "prime" while Regal was now far beyond his. A bit of role reversal for the story they coulda had. Batista/Lesnar I seen in the final four of the 2003 RR and heard Brock squashed Batista the same year in a short dark match but never knew Leviathan faced off against Brock in OVW. Probably the only time Ive EVER seen Brock dwarfed in muscle mass by another wrestler. I can see Brock was still a brick sh%t house back then but not as huge as he became by any means. Another major difference is the aesthetics of their bodies. Brock looks thick but more on the natty end whereas Batista is shredded to the gills with all those veins. The announcer saying Brock weighed in at 240lbs is hilarious to me. Not as hilarious as Brock failing to lift Batista for a german suplex three times in a row. Gave him a good humping though, that should teach him. Holy hell was that a clothesline to Lesnar or a punch in the mouth? You can see the spit and sweat mist fly off him as Batista connects. Maybe a botch but looked vicious so I like it. Ending was ugly as all hell with that lackluster spear but I was very surprised to see Batista win. Who were the valets? Did they stick around or just stay in OVW?
