Does anyone do Uber here or is experienced using Uber? I need to take my car in for Inspection & a recall (or two) and the dealer where I normally go to which provides a shuttle service is around 15 minutes away but with traffic it's brutal in the morning. The one that is only 2 minutes away does not provide a shuttle service but it is so much more convenient and easier for me to get to. I've never used Uber and the last time I used a cab was many many years ago. I am just wondering how much tip to give from only a short 2 minute trip? I honestly have don't know how much. Like $5? And could that even be too much? If the trip itself cost $5 and the tip is $5 it's hard for me to justify $10 for a 2 minute ride. But then again, I don't want to short them of what they deserve. I need to make 2 trips, one coming back after drop off and another to get there to pick it up when ready although my neighbor may be able to take me to get it if he's home. Thanks! JS

Just tip the $5. You'll soon forget the $5, right after you step out of the car.

They're going to make roughly half of what it costs to take you wherever you're going plus tip.
I drove a few times. I made bank before the tip even credited usually.

I've only tipped an Uber driver once (we don't have tipping culture here), which was $5 cause he had good chat.

I don't tip those who do their ordinary job. I tip those who do an extraordinary job.

$5 is fine if its a short trip, usually i go by % but use $5 as the bottom, so if the % is below that then at least $5. but if you're talking about a larger cab fee, then it really becomes discretionary on a lot of things (cost, distance, cleanliness, am i being annoyed, can i charge my phone, etc)

I’m American and I’ve waited tables in the past. I’m more of a believer in companies needing to pay employees better and not try to pass as much cost as possible onto the consumer

How much do you usually tip movers? I already asked that question reliable couriers customer service but so far didn't get an answer. I understand it highly depends on their services, right? So let say I like the service, what is the maximum tip I should give?
