Needed someone to pitch the softball of the century in the Q&A thread for ANYBODY from Mattel to finally comment on this
Combined with posts here, posts/comments on IG, posts/comments on Facebook, tweets I saw regarding this figure -- complaints were LOUD and PLENTIFUL
Its been a source of contention with collectors for weeks now
Had to ship influencers figures that aren't even available to purchase anymore to temper the masses on bad figure
Very odd that every Goldust figure I have from 2010-2019, looks the same in every photo. It doesn't go from dark gold to Hulk Hogan 1989 yellow "in the right light"

It's wild to me how this thread has cycled through every possible stage of reaction to this figure before the damn thing is actually out. Could it look terrible? Quite possibly. Could it be an effect of the lighting? We've seen it before. Is it a mixture of the two where in reality it doesn't look as bad as the worst picture nor as good as the best? I'd hedge on that being most likely.

Back in April by you and then me the other day. The only others questionβs about this figure was someone asking for a torso change on future UE Cody figures which he answered and then two or three questions on why the influencers got them. But I know it wonβt be as good as Pixel Danβs video screenshot. Though I am hoping itβs somewhere in between but closer to Pixel Danβs. |
