Hopefully the nostalgia contracts make it easier to sign more talent

As long as they have cloth skirts, this is awesome. Plastic ones will restrict ROM so it'd be a bummer. I want rubber. Mattel uses the most cheap fabric possible. Just look at the Samoan SWAT Team. You can see through it it's so thin.

Now we just need Skull & 8-Ball, the Godwins, and maybe the New Blackjacks and Truth Commission and I’ll be set on mid 97-98 tag teams. It’d be nice to get Owen to match with Bulldog, but that’s never gonna happen.

I'm stoked to see a Mattel version of them not a great tag team but loved that era of music and that era of wrestling obviously

Not a team I would buy, but great for those who do want them. This goes for me as well Ditto 💯 … Never was a fan, found them more annoying than anything

Interesting that not knly does it appear these "nostalgia contracts" are different then Legends, but also that WWE apparently gave them permission to post about it.

They were tag champs so I'd be purchasing them 100%.

They'd fit perfectly for my WWF '97 collection, so this is good news.

They might not have asked for permission to post about it. From a business standpoint, I don't know why WWE would care if they tell their fans as long as they didn't share details of the contract. The more excited their fanbase is about merchandise coming out, the more money WWE makes. Other wrestlers have talked about or announced they signed contracts/extensions (Samu, Charles Wright, etc.). Steve and Bill might be a little disappointed since they really seem to like surprising us and the more that we are surprised it seems like the more positive reactions we have to events like SDCC, Ringside fest, WM weekend. Now everyone is going to expect Headbangers next year just like we expected Headshrinkers this year (Samu announced his contract last year).

Just wondering if it's a sign of all changing times. It certainly could be a coincidence, but if it opened the flood gates....

I was introduced to them through the ps1 games and i remember not liking them at all in those games. Would love to have an elite of them though.

I would buy the Headbangers on pre-order. I had their Jakks figures and Mattel figures are long overdue.

I would love these. Any chance to add Attitude Era guys to the collection.
Really hope they get made and Mattel doesn't sit on them like Jarrett.

The attitude era has so many talents yet to be made and also has some of the most toyetic looks.
I really hope this does signal the beginning of the proverbial flood gates opening to more AE talent.

I know it’s difficult sometimes to justify the investment in mid card or lower card guys in fear of them not selling enough numbers but for me, they’re vital to any collection and without those guys our shelves wouldn’t be anywhere near as fun. Obviously there are loads from 80s and 90s that we would all love to see but the likes of Mideon to help complete the ministry would completely elevate the acolytes and viscera figures we’ve had. We desperately need a Gangrel to complete the brood too. Val Venis would be awesome but I’m not sure how likely that is unfortunately. Hardcore and Crash Holly would pop too.
