No point in entertaining any of it if they don’t address the price discrepancies for international buyers.

They should stop with the ring and stages and just focus on crowdfunding limited edition figures ..

thats prob really likely now that the nitro thing failed. i full expect only figures and small playsets being offered moving fwd.

If we could get the Nitro stage (by itself, no figures) as a made-to-order item I would buy it, but I highly doubt it'll ever be offered again unfortunately

Would also love to see more obscure WCW legends figures offered as made to order. e.g. mid-carders, tag teams, cruiserweights/luchas, managers, women, staff, wrestlecrap, etc.

Manufacturing is more cost effective on scale. What if you promise Make to Order, and only 200 people order? They'd lose money. Crowdfunding needs to have a minimum threshold of orders. To protect all parties from a pointless, costly endeavor. 

I think there's a disconnect between what actually works on crowdfunding (big board game campaigns with $400+ of plastic bits and pieces can do great) and what toy collectors are used to buying ($25 for a figure? Outrageous!). The history isn't there. The concept of paying for something, then receiving it two years later, doesn't seem to be as popular here as on the board game sites I frequent. Where people (myself included) back multiple projects every month. 

And I think the action figure companies choose weird, niche projects. Star Wars have had a few failed campaigns. The Rancor. A deluxe lightsaber for an Obi Wan character they had to know wouldn't be popular with your typical Star Wars guy. They seemed like odd picks. 

I'm not surprised they go for big ticket items. After shipping, the profit on crowdfunding single action figures is probably pretty small. A big box of plastic, however, is much better for making money. That's how it's worked for years in the board game space. You don't make money on a single deck of cards, paying for it to be shipped from China to the company to the backer. 

Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't Ultimate Logan Paul and Ultimate Cody both Made to Order figures?

Yeah but there's a big difference with figures that have newly tooled head and a few accessories vs. an entire entrance that requires all brand new tooling. The minimum order is required to cover the cost of tooling and make profit.
