When did FTITL stop being a thing with 2 packs

If I remember correctly, someone asked Steve about this and he said the Championship format was not changing in the immediate future. If I had to guess, I’d say it was a way to get more famous faces into the two packs, which are always going to sell slower than the singles, or at least make retail think they’re getting a better lineup.

I’m with you, I have a long list of tag teams and factions I want to see fleshed out and two packs would be the best way to accomplish that, but never discount how simple minded retail partners are. I remember somebody asking why Jazwares didn’t make more female skins in their Fortnite line, and they said that retail didn’t want them in single packs, but they would accept them in single packs if they had masks on. I don’t know if they thought the mask would sell or if they just didn’t look that closely, but they got around this by putting a lot of them in the multi packs. My reason for bringing it up is if retail wants something, whether it really makes sense or not, they really do have to try and work within those parameters. Personally making entire waves of two packs that are just new versions of the same people means I’m skipping entire waves, but they’re not worried about me if random citizen is really hyped to get Mankind and Stone Cold or The Rock.
