We already know Mattel lost the rights. So that question is a week late, but appreciate the effort. Nothing wrong with a little added context and straight from the horse's mouth as opposed to a thread! But feel free to fast forward or skip watching it all together. 100% didnât get a thing from this thread. Nothing but a bunch of whining and half cocked theories here.

The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, started by Matt Cardona and Brian Myers in 2018 while they were still employed by the WWE, now grown into a full fledged fantastic community and business for the guys. I've been listening since day 1, and it's grown into a pretty awesome weekly listen if you love wrestling figures/collecting, etc.

Which video? The Panel one or is there an upcoming Q&A video? Thanks There is a Q&A coming. I wouldn't expect anything too drastically different than what you've already heard. There aren't really any surprises with this one based on the info we have found out and received (which is why the strong reaction is still baffling me, but whatever) so it'll just kind of put a period on the sentence so to speak. Yep, this seemed pretty cut and dry. I have been amazed this thread wasn't dead days ago. But thanks for putting the final word on record for those who insisted on hearing it from Mattel. The process will run its course, and hopefully things will get worked out in due time.

Listening to them booking wrestling shows with their toys for like an hour and a half week in and week out wasnât for me. Has it gotten better?

Has it gotten better? you must have been listening to the FWF episodes. those were different from the main podcast. that only went on for a few months anyway. it definitely has gotten better over time. once they added mark sterling too it changed the dynamic a bit. i also thought in the early days they were too focused on trying to "sell" something...but that's changed too. its really just casual talk about whats going on in this hobby and other hobbies in that current week. talking about news/reveals, etc. i just really enjoy the listen.

It was the regular podcast. Maybe shortly after they made it its own thing but for several weeks it was mainly them talking about playing with their toys and booking shows with them and who had the better show and they would have Russo come on and give his opinion on who had the better show. It was too annoying for me to continue to listen.

Funny enough the only thing I ever listened to of their was the first FWF season which I found pretty entertaining, then they dropped Brian from the show and made it Matt vs Mark and put it behind a paywall and I noped right back out. I did get the parting gift of Mark or Cardona telling me how much I don't matter when I voiced my frustration at the changes in the draft video comments so that was cool.

Yeah I was part of the Facebook group for a while too. It was fun at times but Matt always was super sensitive to criticism as well as the sheep in the group.

Yeah, everybody please just shut up and wait for Mattel to tell you what happened next time a figure you want gets canceled. I still can't figure out why people asked why or made some guesses because Mattel did a bang up job letting us know what happened right away a few days later...aw, never mind.

2011-2023. Thatâs one hell of a run. Jakks never even sniffed Macho. Itâs a win for Mattel, and a win for us as collectors. People have a bad habit of wanting more, when theyâve already been given more than a plate full. Gluttony is a terrible thing, and we shouldnât be upset that we canât have more. Weâve had plenty already. All any of us have to do is take a look at our own collections to see as much.

The figures from 2011-2021 were very good, but I wanted to see his figures peak with Mattel.

People looking at their collections and realizing they've got plenty and don't want anymore is exactly what Mattel, or any other company selling collectibles, wants. Totally.

For the record, I am absolutely satisfied with the Macho Man figures we got from Mattel. They hit every era, every real major look. Came up with some great heads, etc.
That doesn't mean I don't want more though. There are plenty of other looks they could have covered, and hopefully will get back to it soon.
