For the record, I am absolutely satisfied with the Macho Man figures we got from Mattel. They hit every era, every real major look. Came up with some great heads, etc. That doesn't mean I don't want more though. There are plenty of other looks they could have covered, and hopefully will get back to it soon. Well said. I would like another take on purple and gold macho king, wrestlemania 5 with sparkly orange robe, ultimate edition mega powers with sparkly robe, summerslam 89 to go with Zeus.

not really. I have cried myself to sleep every night since it come out that it was canceled. I have truly lost my purpose in life if I can not continuously buy figures of Macho Man Psych to the rescue. A great show. And while nothing to do with the subject let me just say I can’t believe Shawn and Gus haven’t gotten the Funko treatment yet.

Just give me the UE 18 figure and a Coliseum Collection figure (with sexy robe) and I'm good for Macho figures. Hopefully we'll get them... 🤞

My hope is that as soon as he’s available again they immediately do an open preorder for Macho and Liz CC on Mattel Creations

Hopefully we'll get them… 🤞 Same…and WM5, SummerSlam 92, updated WM8, debut Savage, final Nitro appearance, updated Macho King, updated Wolfpac, a widely-available commentator Savage, WM9, just those and I'm sure many more for me Not shaming anyone who doesn't feel they need those, just speaking to people that aren't listening (WWE, Mattel, Savage's estate) that I WILL BUY EVERY SAVAGE FIGURE YOU MAKE! There are dozens of us! Nitpicky, but how did no Macho figures in the first run (I refuse to think of it as anything else) come with the IC title? Price point is the answer, but that CC Savage could have easily satisfied that need, and I do think it's a need. Savage is on the shortlist for the greatest IC champion of all time.

BTW, was or confirmed by STEVE OR BILL that Macho is donezo, or is it still all hearsay?

That would do it for me, and these: Summer Slam 1989 SNME 1988 vs. Andre the Giant SNME 1989 vs. Jimmy Snuka Survivor Series 1989 update 1989 House Show vs Jim Duggan (all silver) Summer Slam 1990 SNME 1990 vs. Dusty Rhodes Survivor Series 1990 SNME 1990 attacks Ultimate Warrior after his match with Ted DiBiase Royal Rumble 1991 redo with jacket, hat, shirt, and bandanas 1991 WWF Trading Card and 1991 Royal Rumble poster Attire he wore on the Japan tour in 1991 vs. Tenryu WWF Superstars snake bite incident WWF Superstars when he and Piper saved Hogan from Undertaker and Ric Flair Tuesday in Texas 1991 vs. Jake the Snake MSG House Show vs. Jake the Snake in 1992 Survivor Series 1992 Royal Rumble 1993 a number of his WCW attires before the NWO WCW Nitro 1998 after beating Sting for the World Title and that's probably it...

As in “there was an error in the production that needed corrected too late in the process, we are going to try to slot him for Ultimate 21 or 22…20 is too early to have it fixed.”

I guess it's just weird to me, like it's Macho Man Randy Savage...the WWE basically owns every single thing he's done in his professional career. How do they not just have the automatic rights to make his action figures?
like, imagine Mattel being like "oh sorry we can't make Shawn Michaels figures anymore"...like, what else is he doing that would change it?

Because that's not how it works. It comes down to who owns the character's name and likeness. Randy Savage owned his ring name and likeness (now his estate), not the WWF/E. And, Mattel could say that they can't make any more HBK figures if Shawn is no longer signed to a merchandising deal with the WWE. The WWE, and Mattel, cannot make Shawn Michaels figures if Shawn is not signed to a merchandising deal with either company.

I sort of understand where WWE is coming from wanting guys to be under “Legends” deals, but damn does it hamstring things. I really wonder what Mattel might’ve made by now if they were playing by the same rules Jakks had during the heyday of the Classic Superstars line.

Jakks was missing some big names that Mattel was able to make, but on that same note they were able to deliver a lot more of the "deep cuts" that really fill out a collection.

Mattel has missed a few deep cuts that were available to them. The one that annoys probably only me is Tatsumi Fujinami. On the one hand I get that he’d probably be a hard sell at mass retail, but if he’s available there must have been a way to get him produced maybe as an exclusive that has a smaller production run.

As someone who was an avid collector of the Classic Superstars line from Jakks back in the day, I will admit that the figures from Mattel are for the most part superior. However, Jakks made a Johnny Rodz so Mattel should have been able to make a Fujinami.

I really wonder what Mattel might’ve made by now if they were playing by the same rules Jakks had during the heyday of the Classic Superstars line.A lot more great figures. There's an alternate world where the Legends line didn't get cancelled and we have a shelf full of cool figures. When they dropped the line, Mattel was left holding the bag on a bunch of legends contracts, and barely was able to fit some of those guys in (Crush, Bruno) before the deals expired. I'm sure that sunk cost had a huge impact on things moving forward. But make no mistake that Mattel and WWE both benefit financially from the current arrangement. It's not what we want, and probably not what Bill and Steve would prefer, but this is the way the big bosses want it.
