Wouldnβt read too much into that, he also has a BCA thatβs been planned for some time now thatβs getting released. I think Macho is much like Andre

How? More detail to the hat, jacket, attire, THEY ADDED THE UNDERSHIRT THAT DIDNβT COME WITH THE DM ALMOST 13 YEARS AGO! This wasnβt a βre-releaseβ, they were able to do Justice to an extremely important attire they cut a few corners on during the first year of the line. I donβt recall ever seeing more than one pic of it and it had the jacket on so not sure it would have the shirt. The pic I saw you could see a shirt collar under the jacket.

Karma for all those re-releases Mattel constantly are putting out these days. And yes, I count this as a re-release. Wow. People really ARE triggered by losing this re-release

ZST. Ugh. I feel like McMahon when Mankind won the world title on Raw: βNot him! Anyone but him!β

Reserving judgment/reaction until Mattel says something. Randy's licensing can involve multiple parties, just like Andre's (both go through CMG Worldwide). I still think it's a production issue with Mattel.

That figure from ZST looks like trash. I get that the WM7 was cool and all but Jesus, figmakers sure do love that gear.

Pretty sure this is Hogan politicking. At the moment he has the most UE figures at 4. He woulda been at 5 but the Nitro set wasnβt funded. Macho currently has 3 and the WM7 fig woulda put him in a tie with Hogan. Had the WCW Hogan figure been put into production I donβt think there would be an issue and weβd still get this Macho. But thereβs no way Hulk is allowing Savage to have the same amount of UE figs as him. Especially when you take into consideration that Savage as the early bird was the main factor of getting that project funded and Hoganβs early bird couldnβt even get em halfway there. Clearly Hogan called up Mattel to say "That doesn't work for me, brother."

In fairness, that figure does look expensive to make. I could see that it got too pricy for the $32.99 mainline and maybe they're going to repurpose it elsewhere for more $$$, or maybe they'll take a chance to find ways to make this figure cheaper and put it in the mainline.
I didn't realize it had a cloth shirt underneath. Seems minuscule but stuff adds up quick, especially when you already have a deluxe jacket, hat, pretty tedious paint apps and multiple heads and hands.
Just speculating like the rest of us right now.

WOW, ZST making a Macho Man tells me that he's willing to get a C&D from the Poffo estate (if they even care or notice), but definitely does not want to fight the copyright giant that is WWE. Cease and desist on the behalf of an estate just means "please don't sell that" but WWE legal can get really involved, I've seen "bootleg" merch designers get really tangled up with WWE legal over unlicensed merchandise. Tells me that WWE did indeed lose the licensing rights to Macho Man. But in all honesty this is just odd. Edit: Also, if ZST was ready to drop that like the next morning, I wonder if this Macho Man news has been quietly making the rounds that the license was coming up and negotiations were tough. Its quite suspect that ZST had this thing ready to post the next day after finding out that the UE Mach' was canceled. My understanding is that Savage is similar to Andre and Eddie Guerrero in that no single company owns the rights. They can be licensed out to several companies at once.

But bear in mind that there have been other Macho items including Micro Brawlers and the BCA (and Cardona commenting last year that theyβd been trying to get him for Major Bendies but the price was quite high) while heβs been under his WWE deal, so the existence of the Zombie Macho figure by itself doesnβt necessarily indicate that.

Very true. The timing is the big coincidence. And I didn't realize so many WWE Legends get figures made outside of WWE. I thought that was mostly (only) people not on WWE contracts. Just because I see the same names over and over again: Blue Meanie, Dino Bravo, Adam Bomb, etc.
