In defense of Mattel.....
They DID give us a LOT of Macho Man figures..... nobody can say that they didn't take full advantage of it while they had it. We got a lot of cool looks that I never thought we'd see...
I do wish they'd given us a full version of his Wrestlemania 8 attire. He just looks un-finished they way that they did it, with no hat or jacket.

Why go to all that bother to make that figure and have the head sculpt make him look like a goblin?
Awful figure (and I quite like a lot of ZS stuff even if his customer service & business model are atrocious ).

Worst possible explanation unlocked. How in the world did ZS snag Macho Man away from WWE/Mattel? This is embarrassing. I'm embarrassed for them.

Iโm more disappointed that I have a UE WM 7 Warrior without a Macho to go with it. I only collect pre 2010 attired UE figures now so any big legend that gets cancelled hurtsโฆ.Still not as bad as Double J. I wonder if they just slide someone in Machos place like they did with Razor or just have UE 18 only be Randy

Wow. I'm speechless. Love all my Mattel Macho Man figures. This sucks.   He must be making some pretty good dough to be paying these Hasbro designers and folks like Savages wardrobe guy the consulting fees to be worth their time. I never got why he needs to go that route. Itโs not like these are complicated designs where he needs to bring in the original Hasbro designer. Especially since these are more or less mini statues without any action feature. And thereโs plenty of reference photos of the attire where I donโt think you need to bring in the original costume designer to consult. Seems like needless spending that if eliminated could bring down the price of the figures by a few bucks. |

It could be really simple, zst offered better royalty pay for whoever is in charge of savages estate. So maybe these new and up and coming toy companies are actually competing with mattel. |

How? More detail to the hat, jacket, attire, THEY ADDED THE UNDERSHIRT THAT DIDNโT COME WITH THE DM ALMOST 13 YEARS AGO! This wasnโt a โre-releaseโ, they were able to do Justice to an extremely important attire they cut a few corners on during the first year of the line. Wow. People really ARE triggered by losing this re-release In the infamous words of Inigo Montoya : โYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.โ So, is Andreโs Ultimate just a re-release of Matty Collector Legends Andre? Is the UE Austin just a Re-release of one of the many Austins that were released before it? While they scale with the Elites, they are a different line, with more articulation. They really arenโt re-releases. Now, if it was just regular Elite articulation with a removable Shirt and touched up coat and hat, you would have a much better argument that it IS a rerelease, but itโs a totally different figure. |

In fairness, that figure does look expensive to make. I could see that it got too pricy for the $32.99 mainline and maybe they're going to repurpose it elsewhere for more $$$, or maybe they'll take a chance to find ways to make this figure cheaper and put it in the mainline. I didn't realize it had a cloth shirt underneath. Seems minuscule but stuff adds up quick, especially when you already have a deluxe jacket, hat, pretty tedious paint apps and multiple heads and hands. Just speculating like the rest of us right now. The budget for Macho is clearly large which would explain why he was paired with Orton who is very plain, Basic and low cost. |

LOL @ ZST coming with a dagger. I hope Mattel didn't lose this license. I was planning on getting this Ultimate as I have the Warrior version so that's a let down. I do collect Superstars though and at least that made it out.....if Walmart ever decides to release them.
I do agree with others though in that this is going to be an Andre situation where Savage will be distributed by multiple vendors. I think the contract came up and they are probably still negotiating

This is just Zombie being Zombieโฆ.it wonโt be long before Matt and Brian announce Macho for their Bendie line. It definitely feels like a manufacturing issue for the Ultimate Edition. Iโm ready for my refund though!

I donโt recall ever seeing more than one pic of it and it had the jacket on so not sure it would have the shirt. The pic I saw you could see a shirt collar under the jacket. looked like it couldโve been velcro or part of the jacket to me but wouldโve been coolโฆif we get/got it. |

Thank you Mattel for making so many incredible Macho Man figures over the last 12 years or so. I have most of them and wasnโt going to buy anymore anyway. Sucks for those who wanted UE18 though but we have been spoiled for years.
