Not sure whether this is known or not. I thought there were only two variations of the “masked wrestler”. But apparently, there are three. I just got the big boy version fairly recently. I didn’t know that one existed. He scales about 5.75 inches tall while the other two are the standard 5 inches tall.  |

i VAGUELY remember that being found at some point over the years. problem is that i can't recall if it was an officially released thing somewhere else in the toybiz line or a bootleg that came out years later. though for what its worth, for some reason the bigger one looks more like the one i had. i know its just a picture, but something about it looks more familiar than the smaller ones. sometimes i wish i had a time machine for things like this haha

i VAGUELY remember that being found at some point over the years. problem is that i can't recall if it was an officially released thing somewhere else in the toybiz line or a bootleg that came out years later. though for what its worth, for some reason the bigger one looks more like the one i had. i know its just a picture, but something about it looks more familiar than the smaller ones. sometimes i wish i had a time machine for things like this haha Haha right?! Maybe you did have the bigger one. I got him brand new in the box a bit ago. Just never thought about making a post about it until now. I use him as a generic masked wrestler in my FigFed roster. There’s just something about this figure I just like since he’s officially named as masked wrestler, even though we all know it’s supposed to be Rey. I should have taken a photo of the big one next to Goldberg. He honestly looks like he could stand a slight chance against him compared to the smaller guys. |

It's not really clear in this topic, but it shows MOC Smash'n'Slam Goldbergs with all 3 variants of "Masked Wrestler". Awesome! I was aware of the red and blue ones. But this taller red one is newer for me. I just saw the link you tagged. I think the taller one comes with the flat title while the shorter one comes with the curved title. Maybe this was a running change? |

This is exactly why I don’t think he was originally supposed to be Rey. You can see the promo shots on the box. He’s some Silver Surfer/ Goldust-looking dude in a body suit. |

Originally, I don’t think he was supposed to be Rey when he actually looked different. But sometime during production, they changed their minds and just gave him Rey’s appearance. So the name remained I guess. Very odd indeed. It’s still a mystery until this day. |
