I'll be honest. I am probably the only person on this forum who has a Wrestlemania 12 Jose Lothario in my top ten biggest wants. I can paint a Jose for you if you’re interested. Just pop the head on a Mattel suit body.

If you're 12.
But anyway, just looking at the Attitude Era list, and jesus, I think I'd buy almost all of them, and additional variants (like a Chief Morley version of Venis, albeit I realise that's more into the Ruthless era). Luna, Mosh and Trasher are probably the only ones I wouldn't be overly bothered with. I would buy Kaientai though.

Sick burn. If you honestly believe Jim Cornette was the bigger star or was more important to the Attitude Era than Sable, you clearly didn’t pay attention to the WWF in 1997-1999.

Attitude Era would have gotten by just fine without either of them. Cornette is a genius with his insights and ability to construct and assemble plots, twists and matches. Sable is a pair of tits (one of many and arguably not the best). I think Cornette is more valuable.

Sable for the first half of 1998, was only second in popularity to Steve Austin. Cornette had a great mind for certain styles of pro wrestling. Definitely wouldn’t consider someone who wishes death publicly on wrestlers that wrestle styles you don’t like a genius though, but that’s just me.

Really cool. Thanks for putting that together. Majority are obviously huge wants - hope we can get a few.
Would’ve guessed Sunny would be top 5 in New Gen from when she bounced around between BD’s, Godwins and the Gunns. And IYH cameo appearances with Dok or even in a bathtub. The most downloaded person on AOL.

Honestly, if they'd just release:
Dynamite Kid Marty Janetty (again) The Barbarian Steiner Brothers Jesse Ventura Jim Cornette Owen Hart Jeff Jarrett Chris Benoit Fabulous Moolah Luna Vachon Marlena Sunny Sable
...then I feel my collection would be pretty complete. Obviously there are other guys/women I'd buy - but if I didn't have them, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

Interesting data using the PPV appearances as a guide. Would love to see one for NWA/WCW era (1988-1994), and another for WCW/NWO era (1995-2001), if you're interested in doing them. Those are how I'd personally split the WCW years into distinct eras anyway. I just added the WCW & ECW guys in the years they were active. Example WCW Cactus Jack in the New Gen era. Similar to what GoCanes84 said, I was also confused by what your lists are supposed to be, since they mix promotions and are clearly not comprehensive. Are these just your personal wantlists? The OP was putting together top 25s based on PPV appearance data, not his personal opinion. Anyway as I said before, if grandmasterPRA (or anyone else) is interested in putting together a full list for the NWA/WCW era (1988-1994) and the WCW/NWO era (1995-2001), based purely on PPV appearances (not personal opinions) that would be most welcome.

No like I replied to GoCanes84 they are who I feel were the biggest names from those eras that hadn’t had Mattel figures regardless of the promotions they were in. And they were in no order other than who popped into my mind next. As you can see as I had been adding to it all night. And like I mentioned for the Golden era I had added pre golden age to it. Basically they are the wrestlers who I thought were the biggest names in wrestling from when I started watching wrestling in the mid-70’s until the Attitude era who hasn’t had a Mattel figure. There’s plenty on my list that I wouldn’t buy, but they are there because they fit the OP’s question. And there’s a bunch I did not add from his list because I don’t feel they were as big of stars as people like to make them out to be. As for PPV’s I didn’t factor that in because there was no such thing as PPV’s prior to WrestleMania (or Starrcade ‘83) so then you are just ignoring any of the greats prior to ‘83 or ‘85 because there were no such things as PPV’s then. A guy like Jesse Ventura he’s an all-time great, but i don’t recall him wrestling on any PPV. He announced many of them. So should he be ignored as a ring geared figure because of it? If that’s the case then we should have never gotten the Billy Graham which is arguably the best figure Mattel released that year.

Very interesting list. I'm not surprised to see the New Gen so low. A lot of the wrestlers from those years were guys who really didn't have much of an impact before/after those runs or in other companies. A WCW list would be interesting - lots of 90's PPV mainstays who haven't been made.

I don't think that's ever going to happen unless some miracle 11th hour testimony that places her not behind the wheel happens. I would add her to the list of the unmentionable blacklisted names.
