I think it would be great if BRGs could do this big-green belt at some point. I know on the pod a while back they expressed interest in doing Sheik in trunks if he ever became available. He has had a legends deal for a while now but that would be a cool figure. Hopefully his estate opens up the merchandising before the next legends deal is signed. On that note, I recently tried reaching out to every available wrestling figure company and it seems as though no one knows the status of Bob Backlund. Well, I did ask Bill from Mattel but he didn’t comment on it. It came out recently during an autograph signing with Bret Hart that Bob “is suffering from dementia and is living with his sister in Florida.” Pretty heartbreaking. Well dam, that truly sucks. I'd love an elite from his 70s/80s reign, it'd be an ideal time for one now too since Mattel has the tooling for both of his belt designs.

They could do an Ultimate with young and old heads, a robe, towel, and any three of his belts. Wishful thinking to include multiples but I would absolutely buy that. Bob Backlund is probably my #1 Retro want at this point. He wasn’t around much at all for the LJN period but he fits in well enough with so many of the guys from that era based on his work in the pre-Hogan/early Hogan era: Iron Sheik, Brian Blair, Big John Studd, Greg Valentine, George Steele, Orndorff, Snuka, Muraco, Koloff, Orton, Adonis, and more.

Finally got off my wallet and ordered Brother Nero yesterday. Really looking forward to having my first BRGs in-hand. While my first ever wrestling figures were LJN Hillbilly and Beefcake, I have only ever had some very, very bad condition Hogan and Mean Gene's in my collection as an adult. My wife got me a super mint Beefcake for my birthday a couple years ago, so he sits with my crappy Hulk and Okerlund on my shelf...it will be nice to have a couple more in that section...
And all this talk is making me itchy for LJNs.

I’m looking at and enjoying my growing Big Rubber Guys display, currently in the small Mattel Legends ring/cage. With preorders I have coming and multiple 2025 figures I want already pipelined, I foresee space quickly running out. So unless/until we get that BRG ring, I may be scaling back from my “every WWF/LJN era figure” plan. My first skip from that plan *might* be Arn and Tully, even if they are in passable Brainbusters gear. I was never really a fan of theirs as a kid, had always seen them as boring and more of NWA wrestlers invading WWF- not the larger than life WWF characters I’d loved of the era. I have time to decide, and if I knew a ring was on the horizon (nudge, nudge), I would likely change my tune- with more display space then available.

I would rather do that than possibly after the fact wishing you would’ve purchased whoever (you would’ve passed on). I’ve done stupid poop like that before, is only reason I’m saying it

Has anyone else had issues with the blue bulldogs shipping?
Mine are currently on day 10 of traveling all over the place for no apparent rhyme or reason and even being as close as 30 mins away (which is normally the last stop before getting to my post office for delivery) only to go 6hrs away in the opposite direction again…

It was being bounced around between states and then sent back to the post office it originally came from. Reached out to my post office so that they would try and track down the issue. It was eventually resolved but without explanation of why. Similar story with the other person I know. Completely different company and completely opposite side of the country.

I’ve had this happen once or twice where it loops and backtracks before seemingly finding its way to me. Delays delivery for sure, but hopefully someone catches it and sends it in the right path!

I’ve had this happen several times in the past with things I’ve ordered from eBay … there really does seem to be no rhyme or reason for it & it’s extremely irritating especially since there’s no one you can complain to or even ask about why it’s happening … I remember one time in particular about 3 years ago, I ordered a Moc Matty Collector Arn Anderson figure from Michigan ( I live in WV ) … the seller shipped it USPS with tracking the day after I bought it & it went in a circle for a solid month before luckily I finally received it … it’s ridiculous & there’s no wonder why people’s shipments get lost!!

Powers of Pain are scheduled to be there, along with Demolition, Jake Roberts and more! Probably incredibly unlikely, but it would be awesome to have my PoP figures in hand for the show!

I feel like it’s usually been closer to the end of the estimated month or early the following month when I get them in-hand. I’m not honestly expecting it this soon. That would be great though!

My display space is limited though, and I’ve already purged most of what I no longer “need.” I know a BRG/ LJN sized ring would be big too, but I would make room for that. I'm in the same boat as you. I have limited display space, and have to be selective. Currently, I have only chase Ax and Smash (gotta keep them; favorite tag team), orange trunks Macho, and bloody Flair on display. They're all loose in a nice plastic display case to keep my cat away from them, and there's room for about four more figures. If needed I'll probably get more display cases down the road, but it depends on what figures catch my eye in the future. I'll probably have to pull the trigger on that Macho King at some point though, and I may have to grab a Flair with title belt. I'll most likely sell my blue strap Andre, Slaughter, my two Jannettys soon, and MAYBE my extra bloody Flair. Hopefully more people will post their BRG displays. Would love to see their setups.
