I really don't want to start collecting another line of figures, but these two are tempting. I am a huge fan of Demolition, and these two look great. I hear ya. For me, if only due to display space available, I cherry pick the figures I want (which definitely includes these LJN style Demolition figures) and have long-abandoned the completist mentality. The only line I am All-In on is the Coliseum Collection.

They look great, but I’m not a fan of them having poses that past LJNs had…These aren’t Hasbros. Each guy should have his own unique pose.

Keeping these as close to original LJN style, including size, pose, and detail, is part of the nostalgic appeal to me. I’d love this line to include the “almost LJN’s:” Powers of Pain, The Bushwhackers, and Bad News Brown; along with other “LJN gaps” like Butch Reed, The Rougeaus, and Dino Bravo.

The original Ax and Ventura were in the same pose. I think of this Demolition set as similar to the original British Bulldogs, mirrored poses to each other (opposite directions). Smash has his oddly placed elbow pad, and both have different faces/heads. I’m really liking these, personally. But I do agree that having them posed more distinctly different from each other could have made them pop more.

Demolition look fine to me, as they're in fairly generic poses, but I don't like Cardona having the Macho Man pose.

It is a bit obnoxious but it’s his brand and his dream so I can’t be mad at him for doing that either.

Confirmed on Major Pod today that there will be Demolition “Chase” figures that will be “actual Chase figures” rather than variants you can buy. So they will be sent at random.

Also confirmed on the pod was that Cardona read through this thread and spoke of the overwhelming positivity in here.
BUT…
He did address a different elephant in the room. So I’ll address this to you, Matt. A good portion of the criticism that is targeted towards the MWFP isn’t without merit. Just as you have taken to your platform to address the bedside manner of others, yours too can use some improvement. That doesn’t give others a green light to vilify you or your affiliated business ventures and friends. But I do encourage you to try and seek out some of the more reasonable criticisms you come across here. Your Facebook group is good for a lot of things but it is also an echo chamber of sorts. Twitter and IG comment sections are a mess. This board is far from perfect but at the very least you have a good sampling of people who are willing to be brutally honest (to a fault).
All that being said, you have been doing a lot as of late to redeem yourself (intentional or not) by producing good products with reasonable timetables and prices. That is something that a lot of us appreciate whether we purchase something or not. That is the kind of thing that binds the figure collecting community and makes people happy outside of their phone or computer screens.

Has anyone seen how the packaging looks? I remember seeing at least mock-ups for Cardona and Myers, but haven’t seen final products. I’m mostly a MOC collector, and am really hoping the packaging has some LJN nostalgia flavor to it, like the Mattel Coliseum Collection line. At the very least, I’m hoping for peg hooks and not just a collector box.

It’s probably too late, but a card back like the original LJN’s with cartoony Hogan twisting Studd’s arm, but done with Cardona and Myers, I think would be pretty cool.

To be fair and just in my opinion, the pod has been great lately and I only really have one annoyance left. That’s when they go to task on lead times and name names but conveniently leave one our every time. Either crucify them all and be fair or leave the issue alone. Not a major complaint (no pun intended) but it does just dent credibility a little each time I hear it.

Definitely interested in getting Demolition and any future figures that are from the LJN era. Would like to see Powers of Pain, Bad News Brown, Brother Love, and the Bushwhackers to complete the collection that was canceled at the end of the line. Plus any others from the mid to late 80's. How about Tony Atlas, Rocky Johnson, Pedro Morales, Wendi Richter, Fabulous Moolah, Oliver Humperdink, Dino Bravo, Frenchy Martin, Ronnie Garvin, Akeem, Rougeau's, etc. It will be interesting to see who they can sign.

Another note from the pod was they only have one "current" star planned. Based on their relationships and Bendie you can bet Nailz will get one, Hacksaw, Dino Bravo? Who do you think is the current star and legends already signed?

I CANNOT WAIT for the Demolition figs to go up for preorder! I hope to get them in-hand soon! I had thought the Mattel Coliseum Collection was what I was most excited for in toy-collecting, but this is definitely strong competition! I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next!
