I’ve already got in on all the Pre-orders. I did some back reading and saw POP are confirmed. Which is amazing.
As for the Bulldogs (which i ordered day one) i just always preferred their Red Tights with Union Jack Trucks over the White Ones. Probably due to the fact that was their attire while holding, dropping and chasing the tag titles in their feud with the Hart Foundation.

In the latest Major Pod, Cardona asked if we prefer waves of 2 or 3 figures. Selfishly, I prefer 3, as I anxiously want to build my collection, am only collecting WWF LJN-era, and only 1 of each character. So, given that they are now delving into other companies, talking about slightly widening the eras, and likely releasing more figures of specific talent (Savage and Flair come to mind), I would personally want 3 per wave- especially when waves include repeat and non-WWF talent. I absolutely appreciate them wanting our input on this!

I wasn't able to do the preorder for Series 3 so I just received my Slaughter and Jannetty today from Ringside. Aside from the packaging being a little scuffed and the plastic broke in one area, I was happy with the purchase. Both are great looking figures and I love Slaughter's glasses with the hat, and I'm very pleased the hat came with the rank on it.
My only issues as others have mentioned is the sizing, how Jannetty is bigger than he should be for a smaller wrestler, and Sarge is probably a little shorter than he should be, but as we all know LJNs weren't always to scale either. Also noticed that for some reason Jannetty was done in the final version without a belly button?? Not that big a deal but wondering if this was an oversight or mistake by the factory?
Love the colors on Marty. They really pop!

I agree with you The reason i prefer 3 to a wave instead of 2 is say they just did a wave with rock n roll express, i have no interest in those so I'd have to wait twice as long to get something in hand that i want so if there was a 3rd wwf guy in the wave I'd like that better. At least i could get something

So, the only reason I am wanting Mattel to get in on this form-factor is to give us the guys that Big Rubber Guys can’t. But that got me thinking, is that necessarily the case? I know that Funko and even foco make WWE collectibles of guys under legends deals. I don’t expect this company to be as big as Funko, but foco? Since the form factor and size are different from what Mattel creates, is there wiggle room to be able to get people who have WWE legends deals? Or since it’s still action figures, is it a complete-no? Just curious. Thanks, as always.

Got Series 3 as well. The figures are remarkable. The best yet. Credit to those responsible for the figures because they are top notch. I think Series 4 will be even better. But can the manufacturer learn how to ship these limited edition collectibles. My packaging is so scuffed on the front that it’s ridiculously visible. Can tell from the blemishes on the front and back they must be bumping together nonstop on the trip stateside. Not sure how it can be this pronounced but even eBay ones show the same problem. Demolition was too but not this bad. I ordered Series 4 and 5 but if things don’t improve I’m not sure I want to continue if the quality care isn’t there. I don’t do loose. I wasn't able to do the preorder for Series 3 so I just received my Slaughter and Jannetty today from Ringside. Or are we talking visually approved? Is it at all financially worth it to start receiving a sealed case of fully produced figures via air before signing off on the full shipment being sent via boat? This isn’t singling you guys out; I’ve wondered if all smaller toy companies have weighed this option.

You can hit back at the manufacturer in China, but it is hard if you don’t have boots on the ground pulling samples off the line….
What you see and sign off on doesn’t mean much if you don’t have someone there in the factory.
Costs. A to to have someone in the factory for QC….but, it can be done.

Our packaging is resealable so no need for a packaged sample. It is not financially worth it to receive a sealed case of a fully produced figure by air. And let’s say there was a mistake, like a filled in belly button, the factory is not going to rerun the entire production run anyway.

Without knowing any of the numbers, it is hard for me to speculate on this so don’t take this as argumentative as that is not the intention. I’m just talking through why it likely is not worth it. Feel free to chime in if I’ve missed something/get something wrong. Given that there are no moving parts/they only connect at the waist, it seems like a majority of your QC issues will only ever be strictly cosmetic which is fair. If the GW of a package was <20 KGS it seems like it might be worth considering…especially with the ability to market these as “Have them before anyone else” or “First factory run exclusives.” That would created added work but it beats paying another person for QC/could prevent inferior items from being released if there were a major problem. As stated earlier, major problems are unlikely as there aren’t really any parts and other samples would have been approved by this stage. The rates I saw this morning were at $200-$300 for cartons for what I believe the carton size/weight range is. But at 2-4 figures per series, the cost of sealed cases is obviously multiplied. Doing a mixed case introduces new potential problems and new variables…and it would be hard to trust that any factory is giving their customer an accurate representation of the average product…as in they would likely cherry pick higher quality items to try and avoid any complaints from the customer.

Doing a mixed case introduces new potential problems and new variables…and it would be hard to trust that any factory is giving their customer an accurate representation of the average product…as in they would likely cherry pick higher quality items to try and avoid any complaints from the customer. Unfortunately, it's not that simple. The process you're suggesting, where we have a true pre-production sample by the cartons, requires powering on multiple machines, running them, and allocating man power, cost of goods, and shipping costs. Considering the minimum amount we produce initially, the cost and time involved in this process wouldn't be worth it. That's why we receive a hand painted sample. If we were producing over 3,000 units per SKU, then it would definitely be feasible. Regarding the cosmetic issues with the bubbles, I was informed that this would be resolved with our new method of shipping products. I've developed a unique way to transport the items that minimizes damage during transit. This has proven to be successful, as out of the shipment I received for series 3, less than 20 units were damaged. This is an incredible success rate. However, there were still blemishes on the bubbles, which indicates that the issue is occurring during production rather than shipping. I have informed the factory about this and they are currently working on finding a solution for future releases. Additionally, I am working on extending the bubble and creating a flat bottom so that the figure can stand while in the packaging. Another ongoing issue is the factory making changes to our molds without proper communication (an ongoing issue across the industry). Unless I am physically present in the factory, this problem is likely to continue. However, our goal is to minimize the occurrence of such changes. I am in the process of creating a new QA checklist that will be followed by the factory, myself, and TTD to ensure that fewer of these issues happen in the future.
