All clues point to Hercules 😎 I REALLY want Hercules in this line. But Cardona had already said Powers of Pain were coming in April, so unless that changed, the only one left to uncover is the LJN era talent who never had an LJN fig (and wasn’t supposed to be in the final wave). Hopefully Hercules still comes this year though! A BIG want on my list!

Received my macho and andre yesterday. Macho is great. I only wish the bandana matched the artwork on the package. Disappointed in andre though. I feel the face doesn't capture his likeness and his skin is too pale. I love this line but andre is the first miss in my opinion Gonna modify my original thoughts on andre. He's grown on me. Skin tone doesn't seem so pale now especially if he's not next to macho lol, as far as the face goes, I'm liking it better but feel it's still more cartoony as opposed to the more realistic faces on the others. If they were cartoony too, that'd be fine but i just think he sticks out when next to the rest. Originally i said he was the first miss in this line but I retract that. Definitely not a miss but my least favorite so far. Looking forward to getting the bulldogs and seeing the April preorders!

I would like the less-tan wrestlers to have Demolition/Jannetty style skin tones, instead of Slaughter/Andre, personally. Maybe in a similar way to how figures can look a little more muscular than they actually are/were to add to the look. Unless “pale” is part of their look, like Sheamus, that is. I’m looking at my LJNs, and while some definitely had interesting skin tones- Warrior, HTM, etc; I don’t notice any as pale as Slaughter or Andre. Just my opinion. Still loving this line, only a minor critique to 2 of the releases so far.

Speaking of skin tones … slightly off topic but I was in one of my local Walmarts on Friday & I always check the Wwe figure section … once I got past the initial shock of them having a single Monday Night War Hulk Hogan ( yes, literally just one Hogan figure, no more of him or anyone else from that series ) I picked it up, looked at it, chuckled hard & set it back on the shelf … that figure was so orange it looked like he was suffering from a serious case of Carotenemia, now I understand everyone wants him to have that “hot dog tan” but this was a bit much, it looked like it could almost glow in the dark … I’m not a Hogan mark anyways so it was a very easy pass … very amusing though

I really like the idea of branching out a few years before and after as it frees up some great figure options. The line is basically running 1984 - 1992, so if it expanded to say 1981 - 1995 it would be great. We could get Bob Backlund, Ivan Putski, The Moondogs, The Samoans, Rocky Johnson, Tony Atlas and Ivan Koloff. Likewise we could get Tatanka, Lex Luger, The Headshrinkers, The Beverly Brothers, Smokin Gunns, Diesel and Doink.

Could it be Dino Bravo joining the Powers of Pain as the April Pre-Order?

Could it be Dino Bravo joining the Powers of Pain as the April Pre-Order? He would fit the hint (and be a must-buy for me). I still think it’ll be a non-WWF talent though. Abdullah The Butcher and Bruiser Brody come to mind as additional options.

Ya…Bravo would be a must buy for me too. It was always odd to me that he never had a figure made. He played more of a role (breakup of Dream Team at WM3 etc) than some other wrestlers of that era who got LJN’s and/or even Hasbro’s made of them.
If it isnt him in this preorder why not a grouping of Bravo, the Fabulous Rogeau Bros (The Dynamite Kid can finally get his revenge on Jacque…lol) and maybe Frenchie Martin.

Dino Bravo and The Rougeaus are very deserving to be in this line. I’m guessing the line might need more longevity and support before going that deep though.

I agree partially that they may be a long shot. However… Two things come to mind. One..Bravo has now had a retro figs made and the Quebecers and Ray Rougeau are/were preorder retro figs now. So it maybe will depend on the numbers of sales/demand for these particular wrestlers which BRG’s might have knowledge of through their fellow retro fig sellers. Secondly since BRGs are only made to order if Matt etc want these WWF Characters in his own collection they may just go ahead and make them.

I know they’ve suggested needing more purchases per figure on these than the Bendies to make them profitable. They haven’t quoted exact numbers, to my knowledge, though. I certainly hope we get to that point, if we aren’t there yet. I want them, Bad News Brown, Hercules, Butch Reed, King Haku, and others who weren’t necessarily “golden era stars.”

I cant argue with those Golden Era Stars you just listed. I’d buy each and everyone of those.

Wasn't the hasbro Andre just as pale as this? The big rubber guy seems to pay homage to that figure based on the pose and colors, same as savage for that matter. Kyle Peterson did a great job at illustrating that this figure is noticeably paler than the Hasbro. Really disappointed that they seemed to drop the ball on this one as Andre accounts for a giant portion of my wrestling collection. http://instagram.com/p/C4pBw4wNTrp

My MachoMan and Andre are set to arrive today or tomorrow so i have yet to see Andre in person. But judging by the pics I do not see the problem with Andre’s skin tone. Andre was always very pale in his later yrs and if anything the Hasbro maybe is a little too tan.
But to each their own, this is just my opinion. I know even without having seen Andre in person he is already a huge improvement on any of the Andre LJNs. I always hated the smirk on short haired Andres. Never looked very intimidating. I wouldn’t call the BRG’s Andre a miss at all.

It’s more pale than I would like, but still a very good figure overall to me.

That's from the period where he was still the "beloved ,friendly giant" and was usually seen smiling. I thought that was a huge improvement over the weirdly expressionless first Andre LJN made. Of course the smile doesn't really work for the '89 repaint but oh well. And would absolutely agree, BRG Andre is definitely an improvement over any of those Andres. The pale skin shouldn't be a dealbreaker at all.

I was lucky enough to have had The Black Strap so the smirk didnt fit him at all.
