Let me get ahead of this as I’ve seen a lot of comments other places… We want the line to grow and thrive. To make the deep LJN era cuts, we need to be financially secure. This IS a business. Making current talent that will sell thousands will allow us to make the certain LJN era guys/girls that will only sell hundreds. We appreciate your support of the line. Collect and buy who you want. Nobody needs to buy them all. (But I’d certainly appreciate it if you did! Haha!) I absolutely get it. Expanding to a wider fan base is the way to bring more success to the line. I’ll be selective, but for every “old school” fan like me who opts out of these newer talent, hopefully there are many new buyers opting in. And like you said, that will allow more opportunities for the deeper cuts from the LJN era too; comparable to Mattel making multiple Cody’s, Roman’s, etc to balance the numbers and allow for riskier deep cut options.

I'm assuming the only way this happened was that karate man threw down to help produce it like lots of other folks have done with stuff like chellas. Otherwise it makes no sense

Mitch over at Hasttel Toy managed to get the Rougeaus made...if Cardona can make that happen with his line, I'd gladly shell out the cash. They are All American Boys, afterall.

I promise…if you’re old school fan, you will have an orgasm when you see 2 of the people in next set. Maybe when you see all 3. lol.

My current Top 10 Realistic(?) Wants: 1) Hercules (ring gear) 2) Bad News Brown 3) Dino Bravo 4) Butch Reed 5) King Haku 6) Tama 7) One Man Gang 8) Jacques Rougeau 9) Raymond Rougeau 10) “Dangerous” Danny Davis (ring gear, entrance jacket)
… without naming names, with the new more open era strategy, are at least some of these still possibilities?

Speaking as an 80’s collector, I have no doubt that the new direction is for legitimate business reasons. I truly hope this helps the brand grow and keeps getting us Big Rubber Guys for years to come. Some will be for me, some won’t. I’m perfectly content with that. Mattel has always been that way for me too, I’m only a completist on the Coliseum Collection, which is just 4 figures per year- and the number of Big Rubber Guys that are “for me” seem to far exceed that number, which I’m hopeful will continue to be the case!

If there’s a market for them and it helps to get other people made, it’s a plus all around.

Is that May arrival date for blue tights Bulldogs on spam accurate? Unfortunately inaccurate. As we’ve said, we had to delay Bulldogs because they were too tall. Thus, repaints were delayed.

Doubt it would happen but I’d love more NWA names like Sting and Terry Funk.

I've got a lot of the original LJN figures and the big rubber guys releases are very good. I have Demolition, they look great, just wish one of them had a different pose as they are just opposite. I also have Macho Man who looks fantastic. Ric Flair is another really good one, however...Andre the Giant.....just doesn't do it for me, I was disappointed with that one. Looking forward to the Bulldogs and Powers of Pain.

Wrestling fans have overtaken Star Wars fans for toxicity, sadly my two most favorite entities. Regardless if a figure/character is in one'e wheelhouse, everyone should agree that they are all fantastic! Shoot, the render for Page looks AMAZING! You don't owe us any explanations or such, you're doing great! Too often, explanations just fuel the haters, which is just a fraction. You guys just keep on keepin on!

I wonder how obscure we could get with the line, considering how niche it is and independently funded by Cardona and crew. Like, I personally would love to see the likes of Big Bully Busick or The Machines. Heck, Humperdink or bald, tie dye Billy Graham would probably look great in this style too. Really, outside of legends deals or ridiculous asking prices, the options are almost endless.
