That’s great except for one big problem, it’s a tentative schedule … when I ordered Magnum back in February it was scheduled to be shipped this month & now?? … also, these being delayed will probably cause every series afterwards to be the same way … the wait time is deplorable Deplorable? lol. Who does it faster than us? You guys are #1 in my book...To turn around multiple lines and lineups in less than a year is Awesome. Keep up the great work, and thank you for bringing back the childhood I never knew I needed.

is it safe to assume that the S8 BRG window closes on 6/30? Both of my yearly vacations are in June: family vacation then annual MLB stadiums trip with my buddy. I have to see what my funds look like, but dang do I want Demolition!!! Yes

So on the Major Pod, they have a segment called “Snubbed Superstar.” I’m not on social media besides here, but I like the idea of discussing who we think was *snubbed* from the original LJN line (not just who was missed, but who was truly “snubbed”). The easy answers for me are Demolition Smash and Powers of Pain Barbarian (thank you, Big Rubber Guys team, for filling these holes SO many years later!). Beyond them, while there are at least 15-20 others who truly deserved to have been in the line, I’d say the most “snubbed” would be Wendi Richter and Fabulous Moolah- heck they were even in the cartoon from the same era! What do you all think? Who got “snubbed” from the original LJN line? *and sorry if this is in the wrong thread. But it’s related, so… Off the top of my head how about tama of the islanders, butch reed and dangerous danny davis All 3 are ones I would have wanted (and on my current top 10 wanted Big Rubber Guys!)

And if delays get us corrections, like Bulldogs’ height, I’m all for it. I’d rather wait a couple more months for improved figures than rush out figures that could have been better.

Mattel aside, don’t you see why these newer/smaller companies have these order windows? If they over-estimate demand, they might have to pull the plug or raise prices. If they under-order, they leave money on the table and have a small but vocal group of fans who always want them to produce more (Demolition are a good example for both BRG and Wrestling Megastars). So to avoid having leftover stock that is hard to sell or might be sold for a loss, they have to create this middle ground that benefits the most amount of people. The goal for a lot of these companies is to have items in hand and ready to sell once they have a better idea of what the demand is…but that won’t always be a viable option. Paying then waiting can definitely be irritating at times but not everyone can go the route of Big and or Bad stores that sell toys that won’t charge you until the items ship. Maybe some day we will see that but there are reasons to doubt that.

What is the estimate on the Demolition bendies? They were supposed to be due in March and the pre-order updates on the website do not mention these.
I know this is in the wrong section, but Matt and the team seem to respond mostly in this section versus the Bendies topic.
Thanks!

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding what you’ve said here & I apologize if that’s the case but doesn’t the quantity of the BRG figures produced go according to how many pre orders are placed for each individual one or each set? … I was told here before that that’s the way it works … For example, there might be 2200 of Dusty Rhodes produced because there were 2200 pre orders for it & then there may be only 2000 of the Powers of Pain figures produced because there were only 2000 pre orders for that set … Now if that’s the case, then they should know the exact amounts they need to produce for each figure the very day the 1 month preorders for them are finished … There should be no guess work

To “arm-chair quarterback” this issue, I would recommend setting conservative extended estimated release dates you believe you could easily hit, even giving yourselves a month or two buffer for the unpredictable. That way, people are less likely to be disappointed (or even know) when there are small delays, and there can be pleasant surprises when things come earlier than announced. I know Hasbro does this for Marvel Legends and Star Wars, giving what seems like absurd estimated release dates, then the figures often(?- idk, I honestly cherry pick these lines) come early! Just a thought. But then again, we’d probably just complain then about the ETAs looking so far away. Can’t win, I suppose.

Ordered the Road Warriors. Anyone know if they’ll have their names on their tights? Thanks in advance.

Snubbed Superstar heres are my top twenty: Rougeau Brothers, The Bushwhackers, Mr. Perfect, Red Rooster, Brooklyn Brawler, Bad News Brown & Ron Garvin. Billy Graham, Pedro Morales, Ron Bass, Dino Bravo, Danny Davis, The Islanders, Butch Reed, Barry Windham & Mike Rotunda. I heard that Windham and Rotunda were planned for the second wave with Volkoff, HB Jim, Piper & JYD and left so the figures were stopped.

I feel he was always involved when i was watching SNME. Hoss and Jimmy Jack Funk too come to mind

What I’m saying is that there are not too many ways for a newer toy company to speed up the process. The only way to make things seem faster is to have the items in hand, ready to sell them…but that would require making an educated guess at what the demand will be. That circles back to the what I said earlier in that there is no good way to please everyone so the next best thing is to do the pre order model and have nearly the exact amount that customers ordered. So I guess my question to you, respectfully, is what would you like to see done differently if you were running the show? I mean this as a fun exercise in looking for creative solutions. Is charging people after they arrive your preference? Would hiring someone to regularly monitor the factory be the best approach in your eyes? Bear in mind such a role could significantly did into your profits and ultimately may not be worth it. I’m not well educated in the logistics and politics of cargo containers/bulk shipping so I don’t know what way they could speed up the process other than to send them via air which was discussed briefly a few months ago. At one point I crunched the numbers on airfreight to better understand the process and agree with Matt in that it is not a worthwhile option. I’m really surprised Mitch has been springing for it in the early days of Grapplers and Gimmicks which probably caused him to operate at a loss for longer than necessary. Not sure if he is still doing it.

Rugged Ronnie Garvin is one that always one that is yet to get a figure. Hopefully with all these companies making everybody he pops up somewhere. It's pretty surprising Ronnie has never had a figure. Tommy Rich as well given they are both former HW champions, albeit short lived. Same for Pedro and Stan Stasiak for WWWF. I always wanted a short haired hercules. I don't even remember him wearing the gladiator outfit lol The leather outfit didn't last long. Maybe a year at best. It seems like a waste to go through the trouble of getting it produced only to scrap it. It also would have set Hercules apart. Even though he was with Bobby Heenan by late 86, he was a black tights wearing, pretty bland guy and would continue to be that for a long time.

Quick anecdote - my first wrestling show as a kid was a local promotion that may have only ever run that one night before folding. Everyone had to have been wrestling students or local nobodies. We are talking multiple Power Ranger ripoffs type of a show. At one point I went up to some wrestlers I had seen earlier and asked for an autograph. They complied but told me I should be asking the older guy that was with them. Little mark Chair.Shot was like “ok I guess.” They told me he was a former WWF World champion which seemed like total B.S. to me at the time. Turns out that wasn’t some old man. That was Stan The Man Stasiak.
