Because it’s evident in the way many of the folks who speak out against Hogan conveniently don’t bother with the countless other wrestlers, past and present, who have done and said despicable things in their personal life.

Yeah it’s all selective tbh... fans hate Hogan but they let other people get away with it lol... other wrestlers can do worse but they won’t get as much hate as Hogan 100%... Hogan is still that guy tho... a real legend!!

Only Hogan retirement mania match I want to see is either
Hogan vs flair Hogan vs sting Hogan vs Bret Hogan vs big show
Possibly Hogan vs Goldberg as well
Mostly Hogan vs flair since it's the best way for both to go out and be a true mania moment

Oh, I don’t care about what a wrestler does outside of the ring.
I just never liked Hulk Hogan and truly think he sucks. I was a “Macho Man” Randy Savage guy growing up. Savage and The Rockers.

Ya’ll should hate Orton just as much as you hate Hogan considering what he said on Twitch that one time 😂

I believe it’s up to everyone to decided when they can and can’t separate the artist from the art. For me it’s dependent on if their work holds up for me. I’m not saying anyone can’t be a Hulkamanic. I’m saying I’m not. Hogan being a racist, isn’t the only reason I’m not a fan. His work for the most part hasn’t held up to me. I like a few of his matches still but not enough to make me like him. Pretty much everything he’s said and done outside of wrestling makes him look like a jabroni to me. I’m just not a fan and have no desire to see him on my screen anymore. He had his time. It’s the same reason I stopped liking Chris Jericho. Over time, just being a self serving jackass, I lose interest in seeing them on my screen. Flair has gotten to that point for me too, I still can enjoy most his old work, but what an embarrassing clown. Liking a wrestler/actor/singer/or any other kind of artist doesn’t mean you always agree with their actions. All of that said, I stand by what I said. His reaction in Philly didn’t sound massive, his ass was almost booed completely out of his home state at Wrestlemania 37, he’d get booed to hell against Austin, and there is zero reason he should have a match at Wrestlemania 40. He can contact that carny Conrad and have him book a Hogan’s Last Match event or something.

I would love to see an absolute celebration of stars with full entrances in one go.
Hogan. Flair. Taker. Bret. HBK. Nash. Austin. H. Vince. Kane. Kurt. Rock.
Imagine seeing the ring filled with all these guys at once - it should happen while they are all around.

The reason I don't want to see Hulk in a ring again, has nothing to do with his comments. Tbh I think Austin is just as big of a pos that he is or probably bigger. I just don't need to see guys 20 years+ from their prime taking time away from guys that puts in full time hours. If I want to see them in the ring, ill turn on the network.

Austin is my #1. Hogan is in my top 10 too. But as I said earlier in the thread I've never had any interest in them rumbling.

Dear WWE,
You have the money. You have the ratings. You claim to want to put over younger talent. The next generation of your fans weren't around for Hogan and some missed Austin as well. My point? MOVE ON from the legends, WWE. Stop trotting these old guys out there.

He was workin’, brother. He’s always workin’. Based on what he actually said in that interview he was more realistic about it, and said that the time has likely past. Wanting to do it and actually trying to get it accomplished are two very different things.
In a recent interview Bischoff actually said he’d love to get in the ring again, but he’s also realistic about his health and limitations. I actually remember Hogan saying that Shane-O was pushing for it. I guess it makes sense after all of the stories coming out of last year’s Rumble. Shane probably knew that it was the one match he could pitch that Vince wouldn’t be able to pass up.
Anyway, as one of the biggest Hogan fans ever I think I’m good on seeing him get physical. He doesn’t need an official retirement match. That last match with Sting was….better than it had any right to be. He had no business even being in that match, but for me it was beautiful. He went in as a heel, lost properly to Sting, then got to turn face at the end. It was ridiculous, it was not pretty, but it was better than if he was bumping around some younger wrestler. If he were to do it now it would HAVE to be the Miz, and as much as I love Miz, that’s damn sure not a money match even for Hogan’s most ardent supporters.
Or he could come back and topple Reigns, end the title reign, and retire immediately after. That would be ok too.

Hogan wouldn't have to do much and it would be a mega match. Hulk Hogan deserves a retirement match even if it's not much. If Bret Hart can win the US tile then Hulk deserves something.

Hulk Hogan “deserves” nothing. He chose to tarnish his career, nobody forced him to do any of the stuff he did.

I thought you said you didn't care about what the wrestler does or says outside the ring. Hulk Hogan is the reason WWE exist the way it does today. End of discussion. It does not matter how you or others feel about him. It just doesn't. Hulk deserves a proper send off.
