example
WCW: the Giant-I was a fan, always enjoyed his matched
WWF: Paul Wight/The BIg Show--instant channel changer, never had the desire to sit through his match

Chris Jericho:WCW/WWF/E was a big fan of his.
AEW Jericho guess I'd still say I'm a fan but have enjoyed very little of his AEW run.

Great topic....The Giant is defo a great example & one I agree with.
I have to go with Waltman here. I enjoyed the 123 Kid but I just couldnt get into him as Syxx & then....thought he was great as X Pac until about May 2000 when I became really sick of him.
Goldberg is another. Loved him in WCW but after a month or so? WWEs booking made me give zero shits about him. I thought he'd win the EC at Summerslam but when he didnt it was meh again!!

Taz in ECW- Loved the run.Heyman booked em to perfection
Taz in WWF-Great promise with that debut at the Rumble. All downhill after. The loss to Trips in Philly really killed all interest I had

Goldberg is one. Liked him in WCW, but in the wwe I just liked his entrance.
Kevin Nash is another. Couldn’t care any less for him in the WWE as Diesel, but liked him in WCW as Kevin Nash.

I agree with Giant and Big Show, apart from being dragged on a basket, I was never entertained by Big Show.

Big fan of his in ECW, when he went to the WWF, I thought he was going to be huge. About a week or two in, they killed him off, and he was never the same.

WCW Davey Boy i viewed as a top tier main eventer
but WWF Davey - especially post 92 - Wasn't as big of a fan
This doesn't really include the Team but in that regard AJPW Bulldogs way over WWF Bulldogs

I feel like a lot of WWF guys I didn’t like in WCW. I was a huge Bossman fan but I can’t stand him as Big Bubba in WCW. John Tenta was another one. Great as Earthquake but horrible as Shark (lol) in WCW.

Mike Bucci aka Nova/Simon Dean. I actually preferred him in WWE but he was treated as a job guy. Could have been a strong mouthpiece manager for someone

AJ Styles. He was awesome in TNA but I dont like him with long hair, beard and ripoff DMX theme song in WWE.

The Giant in WCW was better than The Big Show.
Loved The Dudley Boyz but wasn't a fan of Team 3d.
Liked CM Punk in WWE but couldn't stand him in AEW, his entire run sucked imo.
Jericho in AEW is way more entertaining than WWE's short haired Jericho from 2009/2018.
Wasn't a fan of Diesel but loved Nash in WCW.
DDP was a star in WCW but cringy in WWE.
Was a huge RVD fan during WWE but went really off him in TNA.

Off the top of my head, Jon Moxley in AEW. I don't our right hate him there, but the longer he's there, the less I like him. Between stupid crap he says in interviews outside, to his obsession with bleeding and everything has to be weapons, he's just gotten annoying to me.

Yeah going with Mox/Ambrose. Unless he was in the Shield, Ambrose was boring as hell. The whole “I’m crazy, isn’t that weird?” gimmick he had was trash. Every title reign he had was unexciting. Just did nothing for me. Jon Moxley in AEW though, a ing blast to watch. I don’t care that he bleeds every match. The man is chaos and I’m here for it.

He's by far one of the most gripping guys on the roster.

Nash is also a good one. I was in & out on WWF at the time but I didn't care about Nash until he turned up in WCW with Hall.

Destruction Crew was awesome in the AWA. Thought they were meh in the WWF.
Rhonda Singh was excellent as Monster Ripper (great name) in WWC. But terrible with the Bertha Faye gimmick in the WWF.
The Sheepherders were fantastic as heels in WWC, NWA & Portland. I couldn't stand them as the Bushwhackers in the WWF.

Nash is an interesting one. I liked him as Diesel in WWF, LOVED him as Nash in WCW… But when he returned to WWE in 2002, specifically when he came back after the nWo disbanded, idk, he just wasn’t the same guy that was main eventing WCW shows. It didn’t feel like Kevin Nash from WCW in WWE.
That happened a lot and I’m gonna say WWF to WWE has the biggest examples for me of the topic. Guys like HBK even…LOVED WWF Shawn Michaels, but WWE HBK just didn’t feel like the same guy. All the guys that came from WWF felt like shells in WWE. Almost like when you create a wrestler in a video game. It looks like them, has all the moves…but the nuances are missing.
Scott Steiner is another complex example. Liked original early 90s WCW version, liked WWF Steiner even more, thought he was even BETTER when he went back to WCW in the late 90s…but WWE Scott Steiner just felt like another empty shell. But then he redeemed himself because TNA Scott Steiner was highly enjoyable again haha.
