I know I'm probably not gonna have many agree but Pillman in WCW,never was as big of a fan when he got to WWF. Him in WCW was one of my favorites as a kid with Sting Vader,Sid and Cactus Jack are others that I loved in WCW but never felt the same after they moved to WWF Lot bigger fan of Bryan in WWE then what he's doing in AEW and I wasn't the biggest Ambrose fan but at least i could watch some of his matches and enjoy them but I'm just sick of Mox in AEW. Its the same promo and match every time. It’s funny because I am seeing a lot of AEW talk on the Classic board in various threads, but this one I need to comment on. Because it still baffles me to no end how Mox could win the “Wrestler of the year” award in 2020 and 2022 when I have yet to actually see him wrestle in a traditional wrestling match in AEW. All he does is gimmick matches. Since joining AEW I honestly think he is incapable of having an actual wrestling match at this point. And I am sorry, but to be considered “ WRESTLER of the Year” you need to actually ”Wrestle” to be considered. lol

It would be interesting to see him have an actual wrestling match now. His schtick is in real danger of becoming stale and I know a few people who say it already is.

Booker T - loved him in WCW, never really went far in WWE, got saddled with the awful 06 summer King Booker gimmick run, and then further went south in TNA.
Jericho - WCW Monday Night Jericho was great, WWE Y2J was awesome, AEW Jericho (whether he wants to go off on rants on fans opposed or not) has been awful since he lost the title.
Ambrose - Was great in the shield and original face run, his heel run (which should have had nuclear heat due to the night he turned/Roman) was atrocious and AEW Mox is just an out of control lunatic without a proper management team to tell him no to his awful ideas.
Goldust - Every one of his runs outside of WWE has been garbage. The natural wasn’t anything, TNA Black Reign was awful, AEW Dustin Rhodes is outdated.

Ill pay closer attention next time but I agree 100% with what you said. Like I said I never was a big Ambrose fan either but this Mox character is even worse somehow. Being in a group with Bryan, you would think he would actually wrestle. I can watch Nick Gage kill himself if I wanted to see that type of stuff.

I don’t even comment on them anymore, but because you mentioned Mox I had to get that Wrestler of the year off my chest. lol

He was never a polished worker in WWE but he’s completely off the rails in AEW And fwiw, him winning awards from a newsletter with 1,000 subscribers doesn’t mean anything. Nothing regarding WON has held any merit for a very long time.

DDP: loved him in WCW and hated him in the WWF. Not his fault in the slightest as the booking turned him into a stalker, and then a motivational speaker. Nobody has ever been buried worse in the WWF/E than DDP.
Booker T: I didn’t hate him in the WWE, but he went from a serious competitor in WCW to a comedy mid-carder for years. He was booked to job to the stars and was never given any big wins in major feuds until mid-2006. The guy was wasted for how much talent he had.

Cody Rhodes
I always liked Cody in WWE. I watched the HOF ceremony in 2007 and his speech on Dusty had me hooked. I figured he was probably bound to be star. He never really amounted to much aside from a few pushes but I particularly liked Grotesque Cody and thought his Mania match with Rey was a mini classic. I kinda dug the stardust thing, for a bit.
Once he moved on, I didn’t follow him. I saw some clips here and there and read some things but I’ve never cared about an independent show unless I was there. Just me, but that’s how it is.
He took his shots at WWE and I’m a mark so my thought process was always, why would you bash an employer that gave you opportunities to be a star and they’re the only reason people may know who you as a star? Either way, he did his thing but as I said, I don’t follow the independents.
AEW starts. I didn’t order All In but I watched Dynamite at the start and faded out eventually but still followed to some extent. I grew sour on Cody and I’m not really sure why. He just rubbed the wrong way and seemed fake. Extra fake.
I started really watching him after I followed AEW weekly after Punk’s return. His crowd reactions were great. There were cheer, boos and even hatred but at the end of the match, most were cheering for Cody(like WM 39). I read the dirts online and knew he was coming back to WWE. I was indifferent to it mostly but once his music hit at mania and he rose up from the stage, my Cody fandom returned. I watched all his AEW and Indie sht I could find on YouTube and I have watched all of his WWE stuff times over. Big fan
I am a huge Cody fan and forever a Cody fan, for two reasons:
1. He is the catalyst for me watching a lot more wrestling over the past couple of years
2. He’s made me feel like a kid again rooting for a babyface. I’ve never wanted someone to be champion as bad as I do the American RollerCodester

Regardless of what most people say, Ed Leslie was OVER from 1988-90 on his own, not because of who his friend was. The face accident ended any chance of that continuing, but all of his WCW stuff was horrible. Maybe the Disciple was ok when he just stood there.

He certainly was.....Beefcake was one of the top 5 faces in WWF in 89/90. His crowd reactions were very impressive.
