Not every collector started collecting at the same time. Some people didn’t collect when the first Ultimate series hit. The mindset that they should have to pay outrages prices for something they want because they weren’t collecting when it came out is hilarious. Rerelease everything so collectors can, idk, collect.
If it takes the joy out of buying figures for you, then perhaps you should collect something besides toys. Mattel are smart to capitalize on demand for past figures.

I posted about this in another thread, too. I was out of collecting when they dropped series like 1-6 or 7 I think and obviously wasn’t buying any figures. I missed out on some figures during my time out and while I am not saying Mattel is obligated to rerelease anything, I am glad they are.

In an interesting development, re-sellers are upset about re-releases of mass produced wrestling figures and have now switched their focus on selling empty boxes of exclusive figures that the paying customer has yet to receive.
More at 11.
Thanks guys.

I bought the first five series for the outrageous prices they were on secondary sites because I got into collecting late. Doesn’t make me throw a fit because others can now get them cheaper. I don’t think they will release SDCC exclusives or the crowd fund figures and I get why, but as for regular series rerelease them all. It’s not that big an issue. Besides that Warrior kind of sucks. If someone wants it, they should be able to get it for $40.

At first I thought Bron had the same legs as Kurt Angle, but Angle's upper thighs are different. Then I thought it was Ryback's, also different. They look similar to Mr Perfect's parts but the wrinkles don't match, so I'm wondering if the ones used on Bron are brand new. Hopefully they are so I don't have to worry about those atrocious ratchet joints.

Another current Orton figure? Damn, I need a bald Viper throwback already. Even a Rivals 2 pack single rerelease.

Women's figures selling out on preorder within hours is going to be my supervillain origin story.
I couldn't get the last Dakota figure, now this one. I'm gonna start throwing things.

I preordered two Rick Steiner figures. One from RSC last night and one from somewhere else earlier in the day. I just wish he had his head gear so I could make a Steiner Brother’s Rick with the numbers singlet they gave Bron.
As for rereleasing figures. I have been buying Mattel’s since day one and don’t care if they rerelease figures. I don’t care what the so called after market value of something is that’s not why I buy my figures. And personally I don’t care how many people own the figures I have. They’re children’s toys after all.

I got both Brons,Rick and Solo from the other place but ill probably get the AJ and Dakota at retail or during a Ringside sale in the future. This will probably be one of the first waves in a long time where I might end up with the complete wave.
You would think we gotta be getting near seeing that TP Cody elite

Some of you have never collected other toy lines, and it shows. Re-releases happen ALL THE TIME.

Some of you have never collected other toy lines, and it shows. Re-releases happen ALL THE TIME. well Mattel is the only one that rereleases WWE figures so it’s not comparable. at all. my precious figure is now worth less because Mattel made more. they made more toys. toys that are meant for children. I am a child.
