Brian Last and Dave Meltzer just made random tweets about how Terry Funk is the greatest/saying he's their favorite of all time. Just seems kind of random, unless he's just taken a swing for the worse, but hasn't necessarily passed. I really hope he's still with us, such an absolute legend.
Edit, 06/25/23: Looks like, luckily, The Funker is still going strong. So I'll turn this into a thread about the man. What's your favorite Funk match of all time? I wish I had been alive and there in person for a lot of his early stuff in the '60s. Obviously his ECW run was great as well, and his '97/'98 WWF run. But my favorite segment of his entire body of work would be his '89 stuff with Flair, and he was already 45 for that. Truly an icon.

i loved his 1986 stuff with wwf and the funk bros and also his 1989 run in nwa and the fued with flair/horseman and then again in 1994 and the stud stable

Of all the complete insanity Terry Funk was involved in over the years I honestly still think 4:30 of this match was the nastiest looking bump he took.

Admittedly I've never seen a pre-ECW Funk match. Anything where he was actually young really. That being said, is there a #1 match or feud to check out of his from his younger days?

Oldest match I've seen from him was against Lawler in a empty arena match and was probably in mid 30's which isn't old. |
