What about Warrior? His homophobic rants and being happy that Heenan had cancer. One of the most disliked guys amongst his peers too. Yet we continue to get new figures of him every year. Time passing buried all that. His figures aren't cancelled either.

I mean whoever the person was that started that rumor has went from saying he heard it to saying somebody told him he said it. How tf is this still even a thing. It’s 2023 and you’re at a convention and he allegedly said all these things, hey nobody heard it or has video? Jeez

Time passing buried all that. If you look to any of these guys as some kind of bastion for morality you won’t find any heroes. There’s guys like Austin who beat their wives. People always bring up Hogan and Warrior but most wrestlers have done far worse. Warrior, Hogan, and now allegedly Rick Steiner are similar in their hate speech. I wasn't going for the extreme example of murderers, sexual assaulters, and wife beaters. Hard to comeback from doing any of those and have future action figures produced.

Supposedly the person (idk who they are) set up their stuff in the area where the Steiners were supposed to be setup at the convention. Steiner asked them to move their stuff, then it escalated from there. During the argument, Rick said you’re a man…idk doesn’t seem like something that someone should be canceled over. Society is crazy these days.

So, why’s this thread not been deleted? Figure isn’t cancelled. And this isn’t the place to discuss anything related to that incident or topic. Just about figures. Surprised it hasn’t been deleted already.

Steiner asked them to move their stuff, then it escalated from there. During the argument, Rick said you’re a man…idk doesn’t seem like something that someone should be canceled over. Society is crazy these days. Rick also said "you're a piece of trash" & "you are filth" to Gisele Shaw, and Rick also called someone else the F-Slur during that event. This has nothing to do with all this "cancel culture" nonsense, it's called, "being held accountable for your actions". If someone wants to be a hateful & toxic person, spewing out transphobic hatespeech & homophobic slurs, then they get held accountable for it. Plain and simple. Especially if it's people in positions where they have plenty of accountability and work as a role model. And even if Rick would claim that he doesn't want either the accountability, or to be a role model, that simply comes with the fame and fortune he gained through pro wrestling. He wants to be a public figure, then act like a decent person. You know what is truly crazy about society? That people would still tolerate such pathetic behaviour and worry more about some plastic figures shaped to look like their childhood hero, yet seem to have no care about the way said childhood hero acts in reality.

This times a thousand. It was so obvious that they were trying to do something new and "cool" with Rick, but it just felt like such a lame ripoff of what was happening with Scott - who was a very organic maniacal heel - that nobody really bought it or even cared. I think Rick was a bit too hokey in many ways during 1999 but he also had moments of brilliance when he was a pure detestable heel, hell bent on injuring opponents. His promos were lacking but he clearly had the edge needed, he just needed more of a steer and to dial back the corniness. I will admit, his character needed a freshening up. Being the white meant babyface who ran around the ring barking and wearing the amateur headgear was getting stale. Rick had been doing the exact same "Dog Faced Gremlin" character for over a decade at that point and the mainstream culture of the late 90s was all about an edgier product especially the pro wrestling landscape. However, his heel transformation was too much of a "copy & paste" of Scott to take seriously in my opinion. He even bleached part of his goatee to look "cool" and I just didn't buy it. Again, I agree he needed to do something new, but what we got ended up feeling like a cheap imitation of something we already had.

Guys we’ve been warned several time about bringing up this situation can we just stop with it I would like to say it’s possible, and I’m willing to give any thread a chance to see if it can turn around, but
