Bad parts choices have been an ongoing thing for Mattel for awhile. Its really disappointing that they money grab and just throw out a half-assed version of a figure instead of either A)using the right parts or B) Waiting until a proper part is made.
Ill say it again, Mattel needs to stop with the spread sheets for parts placements. They can deny all they want but if you're telling me there's not a spread sheet for parts and you're actually paying someone to make these bad decisions, someone higher up needs to question employees positions.

Funny thing is I saw a pic on Instagram where someone put a tshirt on it and it wasn’t nearly as bad as it is without the shirt. lol

I slammed this figure earlier in this thread, but I picked it up today and displayed it with the black shirt, and I think it actually looks pretty good. The torso also seemed less jarring in person.

Ultimate Eddie definitely skipped leg day. For real though, yikes that's bad. Usually it’s just the WCW guys. Surfer Sting, Ron Simmons, Harlem Heat all were given thin legs with large upper bodies. |

It's not just WCW alum. It's dozens and dozens and dozens of guys all over the roster. Mattel almost has no clue what a human is supposed to look like. And legs are their worst crime. If Randy Orton and the Ultimate Warrior's legs actually looked like their figures ... someone would be calling the doctor.
PowerTown might make figures a tad beefy, but they have the most realistic figures on the market. Too bad they can't make FTR. Jazwares and Mattel botched those gents something awful.

Other than the multiple heads that come with them, I admit I'm really not a fan of the UE figures. 9 out of 10 times, the torso are deranged looking and the new butterfly joints are an eye sore unless they are posed in a specific way to hide them. I stopped being a completionist on them a while back because I didn't think they were worth the extra $$.

The torsos on Ultimates just aren't for me. The shoulders stick out at a weird angle and make it to where you can't place the arms down to the side in a normal pose.

I’ve been saying for the past few years that Mattel needs to design 1-2 more torsos for the UE line. Not everyone that has muscles is either super lean like Rude, or super jacked like Batista and Warrior. The Amazon exclusive Goldberg and 2006 HHH looked bad enough with this torso, but the UE Eddie takes the cake. No excuse for being this lazy. It’s a quick money grab by Mattel as they know Eddie will sell so why put money into tooling a new buck that actually looks like him. couldn’t have said it any better |

I just watched the Alex West Collects video reviewing the Ultimate Eddie... and I've gotta say, it doesn't look that bad. Sure, the torso is obviously too big - but at certain angles/poses, it looks passable. The shirt should definitely have been bigger though - and less vest-like (...I'm sure the one Eddie wore went over his shoulders?).
