To me it's desperation and to get a cheap laugh out of people at the panel. It had a negative reaction as an angle at the time, it ruined that Wrestlemania for alot of people so why are they recreating it in toy form? Of course it was. There’s no way they would risk a law suit having an actual random fan who could have gotten hurt by anything. They could just trip on the stairs or fall off the ring apron. |

Wouldn't have been so bad if it had been a genuine pick from the crowd... but it turned out to be a referee's plant, kid.Of course it was. There’s no way they would risk a law suit having an actual random fan who could have gotten hurt by anything. They could just trip on the stairs or fall off the ring apron. "It wouldn't have been so bad if it had just been a staggeringly bad idea that could have gotten a child injured and the company sued!" This is just magical. (I'm also guessing the Nicholas pick was partly to reuse the Dom BAF parts, since they're not going to get many chances to make use of those.) |

It had a negative reaction as an angle at the time, it ruined that Wrestlemania for alot of people so why are they recreating it in toy form? A: They did child Dominik from and angle that was lampooned at the time but now is looked back at fondly. B: If a singular match that was a funny haha that was meant for kids ruined an entire WrestleMania for you, I highly recommend growing TF up. |

I think one of the biggest issues of this board is some people's inability to realize wrestling isn't made for them anymore (and the Becky Lynch debate is perfect example of that). Imagine being a kid Nicholas's age watching a wrestler pick a kid out of the crowd that's just like you and winning a championship with them on the grandest stage of them all. How many of us day dreamed of that exact scenario growing up, and they got to see it play out for real. It was a spot meant to be cool for kids and maybe inspire them a little, not for 30+ year olds on message boards. |

It wouldn’t be past the whacked out WWE to have a woman champ who is pregnant lose the title to her in-utero baby. Something like the 24/7 championship; she loses the title simply because she’s asleep/lying down. |

He was 10 at the time and around the same age as Nicholas. He absolutely loved the moment. He immediately wanted a figure of him. We constantly ask for more first time figs and deep cuts. Mattel does one, and there are a million complaining "not thaaaaaat one."
Would I have loved if they had signed Glacier or Raven to a deal instead of John Cone and his kid? Sure. It's also probably a way for WWE to throw some extra money towards a long-time employee.
I have zero interest in either fig. But kudos to Mattel. If it's not for you, there are plenty of other BAF options that may be from an era that you care more about. And if not, there are managers and other BAF type figures in the main line.
Not every slot needs to be a figure you want. But there's guaranteed to be somebody out there marking out for everything shown yesterday.
