Just watched some of Kyle Petersons SDCC Mattel review and he said the feeling he gets is that Mattel is done with Rick Steiner and there will be no more figs of him. He said no one said anything - just the feeling and vibe he is getting. If this is true, man it sucks.

I don’t see any more Rick Steiner figures coming soon, but perhaps a few years down the line once people have stopped caring… Remember that what Hogan said was even worse, and now they’re pumping figures out of him like there’s no tomorrow. At least we have the Jakks one, which isn’t too wildly out of proportion that it would look bad next to a Mattel Scott. |

All I wanted was an elite or Ultimate 2 pack of the Steiner brothers in their early 90s gear. Everything else is a plus. Like if they make Scott in that gear, which I’m sure they will, surely they’ll make Rick? |

Showing him off just leads to headaches and comments because it's fresh right now. Last thing Steve and Bill want to talk about at their Comic Con booth is "how can Mattel do this after that?" Talk about a pain in the. There will be more Steiners. No doubt. The sheer amount of money they are going to make off their Ultimate Steiner Bros tag team is gonna be insane. Send a few people free stuff early and show it off, and then all these people need it too for some reason. That fear of missing out thing or whatever. If it was a vacuum cleaner maybe I’d want a review, but I can see what I like about an action figure from pictures… |
