4 packs.
The last time 4 packs were sold at target they didn't sell and ultimately caused them to fail.
Queue the new TNF 4 pack, (which I will give credit has 4 wrestlers with accessories for 20 less than the rse 3 pack mankind and no accessories...)
Anyways,
It has a debut ish Hogan, debut rock old man stone cold (only 1 I want from this set) and becky lynch.
Now, before certain people get mad at me, no I'm not mad at the selection of wrestlers.
I'm disappointed they are locking an updated stone cold behind this pay wall.
No, you won't ever see this stone cold again, because stone cold came back 1 time, and unless he does again, this will be the defacto current stone cold in anyone's collection.
Rocky in this attire makes no sense, they should have swapped this rocky with the rocky fam 3 pack. That would make more sense.
Mattel, if you don't think something will sell on their own, save the resources on something that will.
Rocky could have been in a GH series.
Actually just thinking about it, Hogan, stone cold, Becky 3 pack for a TNF makes mores sense than the 4 pack.
Ah well, already made arrangements to buy the set and sell off Hogan and rock to a coworker. Becky will be going to my daughter as I don't collect females not named Chyna or sable.
But I wish I didn't have to buy the hole thing just for stone cold.

I just picked one up today in San Antonio, TX. They had 4 sets. Picked the best out of the four. I had no idea these figures were gonna be in a box set. I knew the figures were coming out, just not all together, as a Target exclusive, SO SOON! Seems like I JUST saw the pics and BOOM in my hand.
Pretty cool set. I def didn't want the Rock as I have the previous release. I def wanted the Hogan and SCSA (I attended and met SCSA WM38 weekend), and the Becky Lynch I'm trying to pin point at the moment. It looks like her WM38 gear apart from the glasses. Gonna do some research.

I'm just PO'd that that 4-pack (American Made) Hogan should have been in the Hogan 3-pack, instead of that random blue trunks one... 🤦♂️

I am fine with this set. Hogan is the one I really want here. I need picked up the previous Rocky Maivia so this is fine for my collection. I have enough Stone Colds, but it will go in my current collection, just like this Becky Lynch.
If it sells well, I would hope they would try other sets, but sets that would make more sense.

Oh. I thought this was going to be something important like them losing the Steiners before doing their iconic looks or losing an iconic name before getting a sought after attire done. It's only a post bellyaching because you don't like the figure order of a 4 pack. Sorry.

If a retailer is willing to give them the space, Mattel isn't going to say no. Hopefully this sells well and opens the door to future opportunities. More slots for figures is a win for collectors.

The set makes sense because Beck is featured in the Then, Now & Forever video package they play before every wwe show. And when I click on the info button to find out about RAW on my cable guide this is what comes up…  So clearly the WWE wants her featured. If anything I would have swapped Rock for Undertaker. |

I'm still mad that I never got Larry Zbysko because he was locked behind a paywall of figures I didn't want. Couldn't justify spending that much for 1 Larry Zbysko figure. We never got another release.

I know yours was about making a 4 Pack like the HOF 4 packs that failed previously. But Mattel is going to do what the retailer’s ask for. |

Now if they did Elite 4-packs of various factions (NWO, DX, Hart Foundation, Evolution etc.), I'd be all over them like a rash...Especially if they could add more accessories like they are doing with this 4-pack, the Hogan 3-pack, and the Foley 3-pack. Multiple heads, hands, and a soft goods item - if applicable - for each figure would make these more desirable at that price. Those first box sets were just basic elite figures with nothing else. All of those you listed would be great. I'd also like to see feuds and survivor series teams included as well. Though, we may never get the best Survivor Series team of all:  |

We never got another release. That Zbyszko was such a weird choice, considering he was in his wrestling gear from the 80s but packed with three 90s Nitro-era wrestlers all in street gear. Would have made sense to do an announcer Zbyszko in that set and a wrestler Zbyszko individually. It is too bad Target did not have the Legends line then because Zbyszko would have fit perfectly. Luckily that 4-pack eventually went on deep clearance at Targets around me and I was able to get it super cheap, even though Larry was the one figure I really wanted. Hopefully the same thing happens with this new 4-pack so people can pick it up for cheap and get whatever figure they want without having to spring for the cost of the whole set. |
