Two of the biggest & best stars in the business... who you picking?
It's another tough one but I'm going with Austin barely... I love HBK but Austins run was just spotless.
Big respect to both guys for putting out some of the most entertaining work ever... the 90s & 2000s were great days cos of these two legends!!

Unless you were watching at the time old footage does not do justice of how huge the rise of Stone Cold from 97 to 99 was!

HBK. Stone Cold represents everything I dislike about whatever I whine about on these boards lol.

I have to go for Michaels. Austin was too greatly based on brawling (which I heard him attribute to the neck injury) and being an all-round bad ass with the Stone Cold character than on being capable of producing the type of more technical-based wrestling that really appeals to me.
I do like Austin, did ever since the early 90s WCW run, especially in combination with Pillman, and he seems free of the dickheadedness of (at least mid to late 90s) Michaels, but the whole Attitude Era style just wasn't my cup of tea on the whole and I have to admit that I haven't seen all that many of Austin's matches when he was really on top of the industry. From that I have seen though I much prefer the wrestling exhibitions that Michaels could put on.

hbk, mainly due to a much longer run from the rockers to his IC run to world title run to dx and many great matches in the 2000's even
but i like austin for like 2 yrs (1997-99) more than anything hbk did

this is a difficult one. stone cold is just fun to watch, but if I had to pick who had the better matches within their career HBK wins by a landslide.
a lot of stone cold’s greatest moments weren’t actually in matches
