That is awesome, the name plate is bad ass! Some might even say it looks so good it is ravashing 😂 I know most fans associate Ric Flair with the Big Gold Belt, but IMO nobody looked cooler with it than Rude. Rude looked so damn good with that belt. I also think it is awesome because it probably makes your belt a bit more unique as most people probably have it blank or someone like Ric Flair or Sting on it.

I’ve always thought the belt looked especially cool on Sting, Macho, Rude, Booker and Goldberg. Taker and Triple H in WWE

I liked everything about it other than it being awarded to HHH without a tournament or anything.

I liked everything about it other than it being awarded to HHH without a tournament or anything. Handing it to Triple H just made the belt look second rate and crapped on the entire Raw roster. It was basically Vince saying “HHH is head and shoulders above the rest of the roster and nobody else is worth building a tournament around.” It also didn’t help that HHH had just lost to a returning HBK a week earlier. Bruce Pritchard defended it as building heel heat, but it was more like “X-Pac heat” for a while.

I always thought the Big Gold looked proper on the waist of Angle, HHH, Booker, Taker and Batista. On the flip side I think John Cena, Kane and Lesnar look terrible with it. I only like Cena with the the WWE or US championship and I think Brock looked best with the Undisputed title while Kane's best look was the AE WWE title.

Weirdly enough, I always think of Christian when I see the big gold.

The Undisputed Title was HIS title. That design always makes me think of him first (Angle as well). Cena looked weird with any world title that wasn’t the ridiculous spinner belt IMO. Especially in 2008/9 when he was the WHC while someone else was waking around with the spinner belt. Face or heel, it never fit HHH’s character that he’d walk around with the spinner belt for nearly a year in 2008. 2000-2006 HHH would have dumped that crap in the trash.

HHH getting handed the title worked imo.
No better way to piss off the crowd than handing the biggest heel in the company a title without earning it.

I understood the rationale of folks wanting a tourney but you run the risk of people getting behind HHH in that tourney. This put his heat up another notch

Triple H is the first person I think of when I think of the Big Gold. I know people hate his reigns, with good reason in some cases like beating Booker, but he made the title feel legitimate under the WWE banner. Sometimes feeling even bigger than the WWE title itself.
I also find it interesting he only held it as a heel and only held the WWE Spinner Championship as a babyface. Not only that but his last World Heavyweight Championship reign ended the week before the Spinner Championship was created.

In fairness man you don't know that(just like I dont on the other side). The crowd was all over the place in 2002. Unless you have HHH cheat to win each tourney match(which makes for a sh8t tournament) you could have had folks get behind him.

There’s nothing positive that I would ever be behind Jeff Hardy for. Nothing. I have never cared for him. And the others I like , but none as much as Triple H. And I was always a big fan of Triple H so I certainly would have been behind Triple H.

The fans were unpredictable at the time (hell, Canadian fans even cheered HHH at NWO 2003). But considering HHH had just crippled HBK with a sledgehammer, and with how over RVD and a returning Kane were, I’d have put my money on fans booing him. They did boo the hell out of him against Ric Flair the night he was handed the belt.

I was 12 so I definitely wasn’t rooting for Triple H for any reason whatsoever. Kane should’ve won it at No Mercy and I’ll die on that hill
