Has anyone here ever been to the Mattel store in California? What is the stock like of figures there? Are they current/up to date on basics and Elites? How do the prices compare to retail?

Not sure about prices but the last few weeks based on pics ive seen Posted they were loaded with ruthless aggression figures which were finally limited to one per customer once they caught on to all the scalpers. Everything else on the pegs was fairly old stock and nothing you wouldn’t be able to find at regular retail.
This was the first time ive ever heard or seen anything posted about the actual store so it must be a rare occurrence to have them stock something people want.

I don't understand how Mattel can sell Walmart exclusives in their lonely store but cant on their website. It's actually unfair for the entirety of the east coast.

Yes I was there about 2 months ago. The only things that they had at the time that weren't widely available were (again, at the time) Elite 101 (which is now widely available), Superstars series 4 Rock, and CC Jake vs Rude. Other than that it was all stuff that was already at retail.

I remember back in the early days when a couple of Elite 1 Jeff Hardy figures were found there. It was the big banned topic of the day. Then a few years later, that figure got rereleased when Jeff returned to WWE anyway.

Update: Took a ride to the Mattel store in SoCal and they have the full basic series that has the latest Karrion Kross (144?), the greatest hits series that has Rock Scorpion King, Ultimate Alexa, a bunch of Wrestlemania Chynas, and a lot of other new and old elites and basics.

The Wrestlemania Elite Chyna with the Paul Ellering BAF? Yikes!

Had to grab those. Definitely worth going in they have tons of discounted stuff in there as well. It’s an every couple weeks check in for me location for sure

But are those items you have to show at 8 am to be able to get? Because if you don’t it will all be gone?

There's actually two the one in San Bernardino has Muhammad Ali's last week for $35 each they are a half priced discount store
I think El Sugundo is a full price store however. They normally just stock whatever a store sends back. Because they over ordered or are stuck on old waves

I found 4 bought 2 And went to go back buy the other two and was told I needed to return the original two I purchased due to a recall

Yeah San Bernardino is always 50% off El Segundo isn't. San Bernardino actually shut down for a good long while during covid. That store is hit or miss due it being discounted.
