If it wasn't for Pee Wee Herman, we wouldn't have gotten this awesome score from Danny Elfman Damn, this sent me down a rabbit hole. I haven't been able to watch the movie yet, I don't know if I'm ready, but it's one of my favorite movies of all time and the score is legendary. Such a snapshot of that moment in time. Has anyone watched it since he passed? I watched it last year on HBO Max. My niece thought it was weird |

I watched it last year on HBO Max. My niece thought it was weird It's funny you say that because one thing about Pee-wee seems to be that he's hit or miss with people. I always liked Big Adventure best of anything he ever made because there's this bizarre normalcy to it, that you can believe he's someone that exists out there in the world...or used to be someone. With YouTube and influencers and TikTok and what not these days it's proven that there's all kinds of people acting out for attention but with Pee-wee it seems to be just part of his personality and that movie made it acceptable. But for sure there are people out there that don't 'get the joke' or just find it annoying. Surprising to hear it was your niece though because typically kids have the least difficult time accepting it. Otherwise I've definitely come across people who just look at it with a blank face and take it too seriously. |
