From Dave Meltzer
--Despite the false numbers being reported TNA Impact did a 1.2 rating on Thursday and one of the bigger audiences in the show's history, and that was going against a big football game. Spike was beyond thrilled.
--TNA has announced a big surprise announcement for tomorrow night's show. They will be announcing a two-hour show although we don't know the start date (believed to be early October). Regarding a former world champion and rumors, I know of three who they are talking with at least somewhat seriously and one there is some confidence they can get, but I don't think anything is done yet. I'm not including Brock Lesnar in that list because Lesnar appears to be UFC bound.
--We still don't know for certain who Ron Killings will team with tomorrow night. Jeff Jarrett was attempting to work out a deal with the Titans to allow Pacman Jones to wrestle and they would agree on how much he could or couldn't do.

1.2 is still a long way from 3.8 unfortunatly. Who cares ? No one in their right mind expects TNA to draw anything close to what Raw does right now.

It was more of a statement about how they expect the "Big Names" like Pacman and Angle to come in and still expect to take on WWE. I didn't mean I expected them to take on WWE.

Once they get 2 hrs, these ratings will slowly start to creep up, well, hopefully.

Wasn't the original reported number a 1.1? Yeah, not really a newsworthy change if you ask me -_-

Once they get 2 hrs, these ratings will slowly start to creep up, well, hopefully. I dont see it going past a 2.0 rating. Hence, it'll still be the same exact people watching the show as them getting 1.2's. Just a thought.

TNA wont ever do good ratings because they aren't live like RAW is.

TNA wont ever do good ratings because they aren't live like RAW is. Although that comment sounds dumb, it is a very good point. Pre-Empted Raw's usualy draw lower number's than the live Raw due to spoilers. People can see the results to the next two(or three) week's show's and they simply don't watch the shows. Although TNA going 2-Hour's may draw some people as TNA (maybe) won't seem thrown together...then again, maybe the major announcement...is..."MICHAEL VICK IS OUT OF JAIL AND IS ON TEAM PACMAN!111!11 THIS IS FRAKNG NSNE!!!11!!!" That was supposed to be Don West.
