If I'm buying a figure,Pop or any other collectible, I never go to a cashier. I couldn't count the times where I've had a figure get crushed by them sticking it in a bag with something else,so just to be safe I go to the self checkout.

If I'm grabbing a few items to go, yeah, I'll use self checkout.
If I have a cart full of groceries or something that requires multiple forms of payment, I'm not messing with self checkout.

I deserve to be checked out by a real person.
And if they’re not gonna do it I will think really hard about storming out of the store but probably just cave and use the self checkout. But you better believe I’m clicking one star on the screen. They will rue the day.

I can see the idea. They're making us do a service they would fully provide some time ago. It does hurt cashier jobs or that argument exits.
Mines more on the I don't like being watched like a hawk when I do scan stuff or feel like some ones breathing over my neck at times. However they are super great when I want to get in and get out.

I would if i could but unfortunately the store that i go to you have to sign up for a membership card in order to use them, they don't allow anyone willy nilly from off the streets to use their fancy machines without a membership card in hand which is dumb..
It's all for the best that i pay at the tobacco counter i suppose, i don't normally get alot of items whenever i'm there anyway, just a few things and i'm out the door..
I'm sure the machines would break down almost every time i'd try using them like they have done in the past at my local Tesco with a staff person not far away ready to spring into action and play the hero..

No but the government can. 150 bucks a month buys a surprising amount of mac and cheese, frozen veggies, beef stew, ramen, and sparkling water. |

I've always been the opposite, I find them far more convenient. I have no issue being served by a person and even work in retail myself, but sometimes I like to just be in my own world, headphones on and do my own thing.
