Rest well Terry

Sad day. Terry was such a unique talent. Whether it was his more technical beginnings or later hardcore style he was always entertaining. RIP Funker.
FOREVER!!!!!!! FOREVER!!!!!!

Every promotion he wrestled in he was a World Champion - either singles or tag.
My first memories of Terry Funk that stand out are of course his WWF run and feud with the JYD.
I remember he disappeared for years and showed back up in the NWA as a commentator and judge and gave Ric Flair that piledriver onto the table, thus starting a year of Funk vs. Flair for the NWA World Title.
Then Funk disappeared again and ended up in USWA in Memphis and won the USWA Title.
Then he disappeared from there and wound up in ECW where he was ECW Eastern Champion.
Then he left to go to WCW and had a main event push with the Stud Stable.
Then it was back to ECW where he won the ECW World Title.
Then the WWF as World Tag Champion.
Then to WCW as US Champion.
The man did it all. He was a legend. No doubt about it.
R.I.P. Terry Funk, may your soul raise hell in Heaven, because as of right now being booked as the main event in the sky... Terry Funk vs. Jack Brisco one more time.

RIP to a legend. Apparently he helped Stallone choreograph the street fight in Rocky V

His quest for the ECW Title leading up to Barely Legal was storytelling at its finest

We've lost one of the true greats. One of the toughest, and one of the most selfless people the business has had. I still remember when Paul Heyman talked about Terry, when he was back for that final world title run. He said Terry looked at the ECW locker room, and was pointing out guys that he could help make. He had the mindset that sadly can be rare, and realizing that at a certain point his time was passed, and his service to the business was to help mold the next generation.

A true professional wrestler. The man has amazing technical skills & could street fight. His promos could easily start riots. I remember when he was in Puerto Rico. During his live outdoor interview, he said "Now I'm going to say something about the Puerto Rican people in their own language so that they will have no trouble understanding me." He then proceeded to oink like a pig. The crowd went absolutely crazy.
Very sad that his final years were plagued with dementia & Parkinson's.
Rest peacefully, Dirty Funker. You definitely deserve it.

Wow you never see it coming but man sad day for sure. Funk was an absolute legend and still I feel in many ways is very underrated for his work.

He’s such a loved and revered person and character but still never seems to get the recognition he deserves. Anyone with a respectable opinion in wrestling speaks of Terry in the highest regard. RIP

I spent 5 years living in Amarillo before the pandemic. Never met Terry or any of the Funks but did see the Double Cross Ranch.
RIP Terry.
