Shoot.. I just now noticed there’s no character portrait on the side of the box. Gonna have to find a good way to display these on card

Hot dog water packaging. Big L on all the new packaging this year. Personally, I can stomach the new legends box but the new elite box makes the product look cheaper like its a knockoff or something. I'm never a fan of reducing the amount of visibility on the product inside. I get the whole environmental thing and reducing plastic but this just invites those ***holes out there to take out accessories and refund figures without the product appearing tampered with. |

A couple of things... 1. Why are Basics - the least collectible line - unaffected by this lack of plastic in the packaging? (...if it's a different kind of plastic, why on earth not use that for the packaging of Elites and Legends too?) 2. The way the figures sit inside the packaging is all over the place, lol (like with the new Elites). Some look OK, but some look terrible. And it seems such a schoolboy error/easy fix for most -  ...I mean, put Sheik to the other side with his right arm in the air!!! It would look so much better 🤦♂️. |

Right, how can they use all that plastic for the basics, which don't come with accessories, but for the elite line they cut down the window so much that you can't see everything inside. If the basic packaging plastic is recyclable, then use that on the elite packaging. Not only are they making the window smaller, but they put the logo in front which covers the wrestlers. These look horrible. Why does Mattel have to keep changing the boxes? I don't see this with other toy lines, they seem keep the same packaging year after year. |

all this packaging ends up in my recycle bin. as long as i can see the figure before i buy it, i truly dont care what the box looks like.
that being said, this is fine. except Andre looks ridiculous because he's too big for it.

(for all the figures).  |

I like the new packaging is almost like the original boxes when Mattel started - however shipping is more fragile..
I wonder why it is so hard to get Andre's head right??
The best one they did was that battle pack with actual sideburns (which he predominately always had) but was to small
But the biggest pet peeve of mine is why do they not give him GIANT hands (like the Giant Machine elite) it was basically his most defining feature and trademark!

The new packaging sucks, besides Jimmy Hart.
I get the desire to use less plastic, but there must be a better way to accomplish it. You can barely see Andre and Sheikh

The packaging does look awful, for MOC collectors. Even Iron Sheik, his face is blocked in the packaging. Andre is, well, I don’t even know how to describe that. It’s not about the figures that are in the series. Well said. If I wasn't a moc collector I wouldn't care too much, but these just don't look very good imo. I’m just saying in general, ppl here are never happy. And the packaging is fine other than it being too small for Andre. How many figures are you going to see in the legends line that are Andre’s size? Not many if anymore after Andre |

This feels like a response to Hasbro going plastic-free, so they reduced the plastic at the expense of the presentation of the figures MOC. Hasbro has since reverted on it to the surprise of nobody. At least they didn't go all the way boxed like they did, I guess.

Not many if anymore after Andre It's "acceptable" (ie. better than window-less boxes), but I wouldn't say it's fine: the windows are too small and the positioning of Andre and Sheik are poor, to say the least. At the moment, it's 2-2 - but I'm not optimistic for future figures. Really wish they could have kept the Legends packaging the same though - the packaging for Series 11-20 was so much better 😔. |
