I don’t see Tommy Dreamer ever happening, but it would be nice to have some new faces in the Legends line. Something happen between Dreamer and WWE I'm not aware of?

The only controversy with him is that he downplayed the Ric Flair incident from Plane Ride from Hell situation, and there was some backlash there. Right after that Dark Side of the Ring episode came out.

I knew about those just didn't think that would get him blackballed from WWE. Seems like there's guys that have done worse and still around.

I hope. My custom isn't the best. But with Chella or whomever they are now doing Sabu, I could see Mattel wanting to take over with an ECW line.

ECW Sandman in his wild Zubaz pants with a kendo stick and an ice cold soda would be lovely.

Any additional/new people that have cards that Mattel hasn't released yet? 2023 cards include Blue Meanie, Dory Funk Jr., Steve Blackman, Tom Prichard, Tony Atlas, Al Snow, Ivan Putski, Terri Runnels, Stevie Richards, Leilani Kai, Rockin' Robin, Juventud Guerrera and Haku 2023 cards include Blue Meanie, Dory Funk Jr., Steve Blackman, Tom Prichard, Tony Atlas, Al Snow, Ivan Putski, Terri Runnels, Stevie Richards, Leilani Kai, Rockin' Robin, Juventud Guerrera and Haku Awesome! Looks like they pushed for more MNW and ECW era wrestlers. I wonder if they will be in the MNW line or if there will be an ECW line at another retailer. So if Stevie Richards and Ivory (rumored) are signed, then it looks like we might get RTC (C. Wright just resigned his deal too). I think Haku previously had a card and no figure release, but maybe that deal ended early/before Mattel could release one since he has been active in other promotions. I wonder how they will get out some of these older Legends - multipacks with other popular wrestlers, Legends line (some of these might kill it like Leilani Kai even though I would pick her up), Mattel creations, BAFs? If Terri Runnels is back under a deal, hopefully Steve is successful with pushing her out. I still hope that we can get some of the more popular FTIL golden era wrestlers left like Koko, Barbarian, Genius, Brooklyn Brawler and resigning people like Rick Martel, Jim Duggan, Marty, Crush, Demo, LOD, etc. None of the card stuff matters, because Panini signs their own talent. It doesn’t mean that they signed deals with WWE.

Every time I think I understand their legends contract licensing there’s another curveball. Topps definitively did not sign outside talent. That came directly from the Topps rep at a trade conference. I'm not really in the card world anymore, so no idea what Panini's deal is or isn't. Time will tell. But almost everyone they used over the past year and a half up to now have gotten figures - Steiners, Sammartino, Teddy Long, Terry Gordy, and others all popped up as cards first before recent figures were revealed. Common sense says at least some of the names listed are under full deals, if not more.

People keep on regurgitating that other companies can sign their own talent because that was true/mentioned by Mattel over 5 years ago (that 2K could). Things can change. Until Mattel comes out and says that is still the case or Panini says they sign their own talent, I'll keep on speculating.

A representative from Panini confirmed it on the podcast? Or other people on the podcast saying the same things that they read on here for the past 5 years?

Sandman confirmed it during his virtual signing with Music City Toys. He himself said he had recently signed (this was before the Dudleys announcement.)....The rumor is WWE is trying to get some ECW names for Mania weekend. Whether thats for the HOF or Axxess, who knows.

Whether thats for the HOF or Axxess, who knows. Probably Axxess. Legends deals include a per appearance fee for signings, Axxess, etc. HOF inductions aren't directly tied to being under contract, and I think those decisions aren't finalized until close to WM. But would make a ton of sense to some ECW representation at the HOF to sell tickets.
