2001 was a great year in wresting despite the end of WCW, Invasion letdown, Austin heel turn, Rock taking time off etc... we still had many great moments & matches.
What was the best match for you guys? Or best matches? There was loads tbh.
I'm going with Austin vs Rock at WM17... the best match ever in my opinion, easily.
There were also many bangers that year... Austin vs HHH NWO, Benoit vs Jericho Ladder match, HHH vs Angle Rumble, Rock vs Angle NWO, Austin vs Angle SummerSlam & Unforgiven, Shane vs Angle KOTR, Jericho vs Rock No Mercy, TLC SD, TLC WM, Shane vs Vince, Taker vs HHH, Angle vs Benoit etc.

The Rock VS Steve Austin at WrestleMania for me, but this was another stacked year
I also love Jeff Hardy VS RVD at Invasion and the Austin VS Rock rematch at Rebellion. Austin VS HHH at No Way Out is another favourite of mine.

Austin/Angle at SummerSlam is a underrated one from both guy's career.
KOTR still Shane's best match by a good margin.

Plenty of great matches hard to go wrong with anything named so far

Going to continue my trend of Top 5 as its easier than picking 1.
1. Austin vs. Triple H - No Way Out 2001
2. Austin vs. Rock - Wrestlemania X7
3. TLC II - Wrestlemania X7
4. Angle vs. Shane - King of the Ring 2001
5. Jericho vs. Benoit - Royal Rumble 2001
Honestly there's too many to mention. 2001 is an underrated year.
You had some great Benoit/Austin matches in May/June of 01 on TV, TLC III, Hardy/RVD Invasion, Angle/Austin Summerslam, 2001 Rumble, Both WWF vs. Alliance 10 Man Tag Matches, etc...

Even though he didnt win KoR, KoR 2001 was the Kurt Angle show and that street fight with Shane is simply one of the best.
The finish was over booked, but I really enjoy Angle v Austin at Summerslam 01. Such a fun match.
Rock and Angle from NWO 01 is another good one minus Earl screwing up the count at the end.
2001 is full of classics and I believe 2001 was Angle's year.
