First of all you lost me when you mentioned Ali, he was and still is a nobody. There are multiple looks still needed for Macho Man and Warrior, they haven't even touched the surface for The Macho Man's WCW looks yet. Hulk has less looks but first of all you've GOT to get Python Power Hulk with the WWE Winged Eagle Title around his waist for the Hulk MOC collectors, and there are a TON of Hogan MOC collectors waiting for that look. Not to mention Ultimate Hulk Still Rules, another Hollywood Hogan Ultimate with the tan and perhaps a rerelease of Wrestlemania 3 Hulk with the tan. Those guys are the big three and should be in every other line because they sale. Period. You know, I seem to remember how when SDCC came around and they revealed that 2024 is literally going to be the 'year of hulkamania' or whatever, you still weren't happy with the reveals because, among other things, there was no mention of STING. Sometimes I think people on this forum are just never happy. Does theman not know Sting is in AEW? π |

Mattel will be fine, but I hope the new wrestling companies keep them on their toes. It should be worth noting Mattel has lost a major license before, though. (DC)

If they could get figures out in the right quantities that people wanted they'd be doing a lot better. For instance, Gunther has been the IC champion for what, 15-16 months? Never seem him at retail. No one will buy the 15 Big E basics hanging at my Walmart. Figure out a way to get these guys on the pegs: LA Knight Solo Sikoa Dominic Mysterio Gunther Cody Rhodes Damien Priest Too many figures that people won't buy hanging around forever. How many more Cody Rhodes figures do we need?! Heβs the top babyface yet his figures are barely in stores |

It boggles my mind that people can't wrap their heads around the fact that the primary focus of WWE's toyline is always going to be their current product.

As great as it is (for some people) to have nxt guys in the main lines, i feel this has been a mistake. Iv been a wrestling fan all my life, but i never got into nxt. I go into my local smyths and i honestly dont recognise half of the figures. Iyo sky/santos escobar?/angel garza...they all ended up on heavily reduced and they still dont sell. I think if mattel were wise they would scrap all nxt talent until they have been proven on the main roster. Stick to what works Cause main roster talent never peg warms... My area is loaded with Roman, Jimmy, Becky, Asuka and Otis. Not saying NXT figures don't hang around but some people are more of a draw then others Main Roster or NXT. Like Bron's latest elite isn't hanging out and when they released Shinsuke in Defining Moments, when he was still in NXT, you couldn't find that thing easily even at a premium price. Not to mention how many UE and Legends series have been clearanced at Target. It's to the point I feel silly paying full price for either of those series cause I know they'll be deep discounted down the road. I don't have solutions for Mattels financial whoas but I don't think cutting out an offering for a show that is popular on TV is the answer. |
