Hopefully Survivor Series. Or a rematch with Miz a few weeks later. I’m sticking with this one. Cleveland has a Raw in December.

Wait till John's schedule is free so he can do a quick switch of the belt. Allowing Cena to hold the only title he has never had in WWE.

im now thinking Mania, to Chad Gable I’d love to see Gable get the strap, but I sadly think they’ve moved on from Chad and his chase.

Assuming Seth will be busy with Punk at Mania now, Sami Vs GUNTHER at Mania would be a great route to go.

Sami or Gable but sadly Gable has fallen down the card I think.
So many huge names right now which of course isn't a bad thing as long as the guys can keep themselves relevant. It should in theory push each one to get better and then that makes the product better. There was a time when Elias was super over and then fast-forward and he got cut in a random list of names.
To answer the question, hopefully Gable finds his way back and if not I'd settle for Sami or someone like Bron Breakker. Sami as an underdog, Bron as a monster.

Sami isn't a bad shout at all...I agree about Gable...I think he's had his time.

Yeah,I thought for sure Gable was still gonna be the guy but I think that time has past. That's a real bummer, with how Gunther(and Trips' booking)has made the IC title feel important again, this could've really put Chad in the spotlight where he belongs.
For who I think it will be now,I agree with Sami being the one. Couple weeks ago during his promo about JD having all the gold on Raw besides Seth's title seemed to be on purpose. Maybe it was just a slip of the tongue but I'm thinking Gunther isn't gonna take to kindly to forgetting about him and his history making reign.
Please don't let Miz be the one to end this🙏

With the last interaction it appears that Miz vs Gunther is not over yet. Miss was portrayed as being prepared for their match at Survivor Series, yet he didn’t hesitate to play unfair. I can see them having another match with Miz coming out victorious due to an interference by his new sidekick. My bets are on Kaiser betraying Gunther and costing him the title. Hopefully this will not result in a babyface turn by Gunther.

Gable was pretty hot and now he's just a background piece. What was the reason for him not teaming with Otis in the tag team turmoil match? I missed it if they addressed it on the show.

To those saying “have him give up the belt” - I’m glad you’re not bookers! That would basically be Gunther saying “hey, I’ve held on to this for so long but it doesn’t mean anything because look at me just giving it up.”
Any credibility the belt has gained during his reign is just completely wiped out by that happening. Someone needs to come along and beat him.

I would not mind Bron Breakker being called up and taking it from Gunther after a few matches. Bron wins clean non-title, Gunther wins clean title match and then a rubber match with Bron taking the strap. Something like that would be dope and also believable bc Bron is a monster. Just need to get his booking back on par with a main eventer. It could be already but idk bc I don't check out NXT as much as I should.

Kinda feel a ladder match coming on at mania with Gunther… idk… it’s either this title or the tag belts which are in limbo-ish… Logan gotta get his cred going with a singles win at mania.. not sure who he faces, maybe Aj.

When someone defeats him via pinfall or submission, with the title on the line.

I think a guy losing a midcard title so he can become a contender for a main one is an ass backwards approach to getting a guy the most over as possible, but that’s just my opinion
