This set looks great. Except for Rey. I’d rather have a wrestling gear Rey. But there are a million of those, so I get it.
I get why they wouldn’t do NWO or Judgement Day or DX. They can use those figures to anchor a series. LWO members would just be another figure in a series. But together with LWO shirts they make a good choice for a limited run set.

To the people who keep saying that the reason this boxset is being released as a boxset is because the figures wouldn't move as singles items... I feel like you're not making the point you think you're making. When only one or two figures in an entire custom order boxset are the sort to actually sell, that's not a gotcha, that's a reason nobody's going to buy the set. This is niche set but that doesn’t mean there aren’t people who want everyone in this faction. The purpose of a made to order item is that it allows the company to only produce the exact amount to meet demand and not have any excess inventory. Oh I get that. And if it had to be this vs a crowdfunder, Made to order is better. But there's still large baseline costs involved with making a set this big that they have to recoup and I really just hope they sell enough of these unites via the made to order that they keep doing so. Personally, I want this set. I want it and I hope we can somehow get a Carlito and a Bad Bunny to match. And I don't remember what that new Eddie is going to be but making a new LWO Eddie flashback would be a neat addition for people like me who would want to display him with the group as well (sort of like a spiritual guide for them). It just that I have wanted this for so dang long, I don't want Mattel getting spooked and making this a one and done.

Because there’s not a member of either of those groups that wouldn’t move well on their own at retail is my guess. Right, but we don't have a Judgement Day or Bloodline boxset. I'm sure people would absolutely love that and try and get it signed the same way they did the Horsemen. If those did exist at retail I would understand more of the LWO decision. But I don't think the demand for any of those 5 is great enough to carry the box for $100+ or whatever. None of them are even close to an anchor outside of Rey, and he has roughly a bajillion figures. If Bad Bunny were in this set I'd totally understand. Zelina, Rey, and Santos could all be in the main Elite line with no issue the same way they all have been before. They could have given DJZ and the other guy a 1 per case battle pack or make them Basics again. Giving people a lesser stable a full boxset, over stables they do really care about, past or present, is weird. This is a big point I'm getting at. I'm glad this set is getting made, sure. But it shouldn't have been the first one they made. Making Judgement Day or Bloodline first would have proven the concept and solidified the notion to the community and Mattel that there is a huge market for these. Mattel is a business and they look at the bottom line. Making this first when it's unlikely to be a smash hit isn't gonna look great for the idea of continuing to make faction groups. Clearly they're trying out the notion of box sets more and more. The Maivia, Hogan, and Mick Foley 3-Packs plus the 60th anniversary set show they're willing to make more and more box sets going forward. But as I stated, this is a big set with a big pricetag. If it isn't a hit, we may never get another one of these. This set deserved to be made. But not as the first one. Putting out TJD or the Bloodline for order earlier this year to test the waters I feel would have been better for the community's chances of continuing the concept. But then I'm just a fan who has been begging for faction packs for ages now, I'm not remotely unbiased or objective about this so who knows. Maybe this was the only one they COULD make.

It blows my tiny mind that Mattel have had all 3 founding members of the NWO under contract at the same time for years now (including Hogan first time 'round)... yet still no 3-pack. No RSC exclusive set... no BATB 3-pack... no UE 3-pack... no Elite 3-pack... Not even a Basic 3-pack. 😔

I’m not sure why they wouldn’t do the Bloodline or the Judgement Day if they wanted to do a current stable. This is like doing a DOA box set in 1998 over DX or the Nation. Now this is a significantly better take.

Box set prices are high, and these guys have been released several times now. It probably should have happened in 2014.

(I'm not shitting on the lwo pack) But Steve brought up last night that bill doesn't like doing half tags and Steve's approach is get them out now in case the future they get other which makes MUCH MORE SENSE than not doing it period. And since all 3 are signed, who knows halls estate doesn't change like macho man and we lose the chance because of the stubbornness mentality. The packs we want evolution, new nWo, old nWo, new DX old DX etc. The packs we get: epic moments, the rock legacy pack that no one asked for lol

I'm not reading three pages, but the title tells me that some of you still don't understand that not everyone is a legends collector.

I'm not reading three pages, but the title tells me that some of you still don't understand that not everyone is a legends collector. I don't deny that. But what gets me, is if it's a legends item, it needs 5k backers to be made for crowd funding. But all the made to order has been current, which is fair, but why do I have to rely on 5k other people to get what us legend folks want? They both take over a year to be released, so the point of made to order getting out asap is moot imo. And, according to some people, you are not even guaranteed to receive your MTO product. I don't take issue with this set at all, it's nice and I'm sure it will do well, I just don't think it's fair for us legend folks to rely on other people to get what's offered to us.

I think one's age is a factor in who likes this set or not. I'm 48. I grew up on JCP, NWA, AWA, etc. When wrasslin became cool, I still watched, but wasn't a fan of all the "sports entertainment". Meanwhile, others grew up right when the nWo and DX were a thing. That is their first taste of wrestling. So while my first taste was the 4 Horsemen, the Road Warriors, the Von Erichs, etc. others first taste was fasns throwing trash in the ring, crotch chops, bathroom humor, etc. So yeah ... if you grew up with the nWo and DX of COURSE you'd rather have a five-pack of that than some current crew. I'd rather have ... well, PowerTown exists so I'm good.
I will agree with the few who'd rather have a WCW LWO than this current version. La Parka, Psychosis, Juventud, Eddie, and Rey? YES PLEASE.

If they ever made a multipack of the Von Erichs I would lose my mind. And then go out and buy a really heavy coat because hell has obviously frozen over and I'm gonna need it to keep warm
