Hasttel still makes the best true to retros of anyone in the game in my opinion. Not sure why everyone wants to hate on Mitch. It’s like ZsST or someone sent their minions. I feel like Epic has surpassed him recently. Demolition was close. Powers of Pain feel spot-on. Bulldogs, Onita, and DDP look to fit in seamlessly. The only arguments I can understand are that Demolition heads and DDP’s arms are not “true” to Hasbro. That and soft goods were less common. Then level of detail Epic is putting into these feels very on brand with the original Hasbros. WSW/Figure Collections might be up there as well but haven’t released enough to really earn that title yet. Headbangers seemed to be universally loved and Effy has been praised by many. This is proof to me that Mitch can and should up his game. Spot on.

That Duke the dumpster looks very much like an actual Hasbro. I look forward to seeing it in hand I've been VERY critical of Hasttel. The Duke looks very good and Oscar looks good. Will wait to see what they look unboxed before I decide if he continues on my S*** list 🤣 I’m in the same boat as you, would love for these figures to be great and for it to be a real turning point for G+G. Will wait and see when people have them in hand

Got my shipping notices for Duke and Oscar. As well as Zombie's Gang. Looks like next week'll be a big mail week.

I would love a Duke figure, it looks good on card, but whether it's on the same level as recent releases by Epic/FC and ZST is another matter - is it worth spending the best part of £50 for a figure which demonstrably costs £5 to manufacture?

Remember, Todd Pettengill was supposed to arrive in January (Smart Mark too but I didn’t order him). Who the heck knows about Gargano? My guess is he is on that same shipment with Todd and Mark. Hopefully FC gets their Powers of Pain in soon too! I also have my Legends 21 Andre (red trunks chase variant). It will be quite the month. February we have DX to look forward to as well.

Shipping time from the factory, quality check, shipping time to customers. If it arrives sooner than that then it will be a pleasant surprise. *This is based off of the production samples being shown about three weeks ago. It’s possible those were old images or they are working faster than they had been previously*

Man, I thought making the separate threads was supposed to streamline things - but seems like in each of the different retro threads we’re talking about a different one of the brands! 😂
But I don’t know if anyone saw the GG video on Instagram, but quite a few upcoming prototypes were shown - and whilst I recognise that they aren’t the production figures, I thought that they all looked pretty great! And the same goes for Droese & Girard, both looked cool.

I'm interested in seeing reviews from people who ordered Duke. I found it interesting he didn't do a live unboxing and had the Duke and Oscar already opened.

I think in theory it was a good idea snd chairshot out in time trying to make it more organised Problem is when you have so many small companies all doing the same type of figure and the same people there’s always going to be crossover You get it in the mattel forum comparing jakks classics from 20 years ago to Mattel’s bring released today. Figured bring released months apart from these companies only magnifies that comparison

Must be a conspiracy… 🤔 Probably not but given the quality issues from the past figures it makes me skeptical. I ordered Oscar and will soon find out. The Duke looks good and hoping there's no issues with it.

I still see there's been no resolution of the seams issue on them....
people say his product is getting better, but the manufacturing quality clearly isn't improving if Droese still has the same seams issue as the others in the line
none of the other figure manufacturers have this issue, why has G+G still not addressed this?

I didn't notice the visible seams on the Duke. At least not during the live video. I really hope he addressed the issue. Where did you pick up on that?

Duke and Oscar look good from what I can see in his loose images on his store. At least colors look right to me.
Interesting on that Hart Foundation Bulldog he showed off, looks like he has black tassles and black on his trunks....did he ever do that? Thought it was always red/white/blue colors.
