Received The Quebecers and the normal red Marc Mero yesterday at the same time I got my Slick and Tunney figures. Due to other commitments, I have yet to do much more than glance at them but I am hoping to start taking photos and sharing them soon!

Just now had the chance to finish unboxing these but I won’t have a review up until next week at the earliest. What I will say for now though is that these are the best quality figures Hasttel has produced to date! I absolutely LOVE The Quebecers! They are closer to (and better quality than) Men on a Mission. Mitch really nailed it in so many ways with these two. Mero is good but not as great. The head is a bit much (especially the eyes). Again - better than okay but not as great as Jacques and Pierre.
There appears to be noticeable improvements with the packaging, the level of detail on the figures themselves, paint applications, quality of plastic used, sturdiness, etc. And the seams are almost completely gone/hardly noticeable/don’t feel fragile in the least! These are so much closer to Hasbro than ZST and in a couple of ways better than Epic and FC. That is not a knock against those companies in any way. What I’m saying is Grapplers and Gimmicks really raised the bar this time around which means FC and Epic should take notice to see what they can do to stay competitive. This should feel like a major win for collectors as these companies are getting better and better.

Received The Quebecers today. Definitely my favorite retro release so far by any company. Great figures one of the missing pieces of my childhood fed. Maybe my opinion is swayed with how much I always wanted these figures. However the Seams are so much better than previous releases. The paint seams better as well. Duke the dumpster I was excited for and the quality let me down. These had the opposite effect surprised how good they are. Not a MOC collector but will be ordering another set to keep moc. Mitch really stepped it up.

Yeah, me too, and the Godwinns were in the same vein as Duke IMO. Actually I'd say Duke was a bit better IMO. I wish he would maybe take another crack at some of those earlier ones. Maybe at least a heel singles Henry? I know Zombie has one coming, but I think it looks nothing like a Hasbro, so it's a hard pass for me.
does anyone have any detailed images of their Quebecers or Mero loose? would like to see what they look like out of the bubble
I’ll be taking some this weekend. You are free to nitpick and critique them - lord knows I do. But if you’re wanting them to be posted just so you can hate on them and nothing more, there are better things to do my friend. At least give a complement sandwich when someone does something right.

Was thinking about this recently as well. Would like to see a different Godfather, Henry Godwinn, and even a Mabel.

If he makes another Charles Wright I really hope, it's the Supreme Fighting Machine Kama.
Mitch, why would we criticise if we can see improvements in the product??
I'm just glad you've moved production to a factory that looks capable of producing plastic figures, not hollow shells
why do you care, you’re not a buyer, just a critic.
because if the quality is there, I might buy. I have no interest in funding products which don't meet the expectations set by concept artwork, hence wanting to see whether the production values have been increased and the quality of the output has got better
I'm happily buying figures that are worth investing in, and considering G+G have "premium pricing" compared to other companies like Epic and FC, if the quality of the end product isn't there, it's not worth paying for.
hence wanting to actually see some of these figures out of the packaging, warts and all - if they're better than the previous line (and that's a low bar to reach) then I'd be interested in buying figures like Waylon Mercy, assuming the quality levels keep going up from here

I wouldn’t mind another run of the Godwins, as a 2 pack. The sculpts arent bad, if they can make the heads turn they’d be fine. Do the red shirt for Phineas and maybe a different color hat and grey elbow sleeve for Henry. With the upgraded level of paint and plastic I think they’d be nice.
