Does look nice, it's just that it's a two-pack... If it was a single release I'd be all over it. Maybe if the price comes down a little on it I'll grab one. Yeah same for me, I’d love to have one but don’t want to buy the two pack. Shame as it looks a great Hasbro fit. I got one, wouldn't mind a 2nd to keep moc if they were seperate cards at least. No interest in having the Diana attached to him. |

Oh man, Kama looks good. I will pick that one up.
I do not really buy Hasbro clones when a good Hasbro already exists so I doubt I will get the Papa Shango. Maybe if he comes with his full entrance gear that could change my mind, but as is I do not really think it is much different or any better than the real deal.
I would also have to believe if he has him signed there will be a Godfather figure too?

They put them over a couple weeks in a row if I recall. It would have been around the time they were released. They didn’t spend much time on it though. Brian only collects ZST now (*crickets*) and I don’t recall Mark getting them or saying anything of substance. Sorry this is all vague; it just didn’t feel like they were discussed in much detail unfortunately. They were good enough figures that I think deserved more praise but that’s not my call. |

I like Mitch a lot -- and feel for him personally right now -- but I have no idea why you'd do another Shango when the original Hasbro is so good, and not that expensive on the aftermarket...

I like Mitch a lot -- and feel for him personally right now -- but I have no idea why you'd do another Shango when the original Hasbro is so good, and not that expensive on the aftermarket... Mitch has said they have a good relationship. Last year Charles acquired the rights to Godfather and Papa Shango (couldn’t find any info on Kama). Charles does a lot of autograph signings so maybe this is one more thing he can sell at his gimmick table and get a bigger cut of? Also, it is a way to right the wrong of Hasbro: better size, colored tattoos, correct skin tone, and hopefully a removable hat. No, the removable hat isn’t in the traditional of Hasbro but I would like to have a ring version of Papa Shango instead of a partition entrance gear like what Hasbro did. |

I honestly think that's a better looking pose for a Papa Shango figure than the Hasbro version. I have no sentimental attachment to the original as I never had it as a kid. If the hat is removable, which it definitely should be, then I'd say that's a great update on the original. |

I've a soft spot for the masked 'Taker, so I get them making it, but it's probably not really a must have for most people. Shango was a big, imposing guy, and I dunno if the original figure captured that. I'm being a bit pedantic, though, cos the original Shango is a nice figure, but I definitely welcome the new version. |
